All this does is open up the market for them. They hear the cries for a single stack Glock and see Glock not delivering. This is a smart move on their part. I'm willing to bet the old trigger isn't going anywhere.

Mea Culpa (but maybe not Maxima Culpa) The last Mercedes I had was a '93 190 2.6. It was a great car. Pretty much a standard sedan that had incredible well balanced handling, great brakes, and rear drive. Went great in snow, had fog lights, was in every way a driver's car. Loved the I-6 engine - naturally balanced with no counter shaft AND, it looked like a classic 'benz. (I could drive it to church or in a funeral procession and not get weird looks.) It had no cup holders (Ve Haf vays of making you keep you hands on ze veel). Form still followed function. Kinda like a Kahr - the form follows the function. But I have to admit I never drove a SLK. And I've obviously not shot a Kahr gen2. But I have shot Glock in competition (many moons ago).Originally posted by O'Dell View PostI certainly expect that they will continue the original trigger. The new one is a deal breaker for me. I might be able to live with the sights but not the trigger. I've had eight Kahrs in the last ten years or so, and I sincerely hope I haven't bought my last one.
BTW, Chaplain, I'm quite happy with my 2013 Mercedes SLK. It doesn't drive like any Buick I've been in.
I do believe that the gen2 Kahr is likely a good thing - If and only if I can still get the classic Kahr. I am convinced that a long smooth trigger pull is the optimum for defensive pistolcraft. There are better actions for getting the tightest group on the range, or shooting competitively. Who else makes a single stack thin form factor pistol with a long smooth pull until it goes bang action in just about any caliber you want?

Many, many, many Glock 19 Gen 4's went back to Glock with feeding problems when they first came out. My CM9 fed flawlessly from the start and still does.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

True, but the CM9 didn't just come out. As far as your CM9...it's doing what it's supposed to do. Apparently Kahr accidently let a good one slip by.Originally posted by muggsy View PostMany, many, many Glock 19 Gen 4's went back to Glock with feeding problems when they first came out. Don't like the trigger safeties, at all. That was, in fact, a big selling point for me for the Kahr.
I had a Springfield XD45 for a short period of time that had the trigger safety. Thing bit my finger bloody.
Doesn't work for me - glad I have the Kahrs as they are.
