My 2002 P9 is all stainless except for the polymer frame. Doesn't bother me and if it did I would just hit it with a rattle can. When you reach my age you're not worried about looks. Function maybe.

At my age looks is all I think about. Being a chick magnet is a never ending forte, plus the looks of the chicks I attract have to meet certain standards. No sheep for me yet. OH sorry Jocko, to each his own I reckon.http://bawanna45.wix.com/bawannas-grip-emporium#!

Have you ever forgot to take the safety off at the range? I have. If that happens in a SHTF situation it could be a matter of life or death!!!! If you must have a safety, TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN at drawing and taking the safety off. Even dry fire train until it is just part of your draw.Originally posted by charliebeagledog View PostI spent a little time reading a few threads and did I correctly understand that the p9 on some configurations has a manual safety? If I read that correctly is that available on the cw9 as well? And if it is what have others experienced been with these variants. I've also seen ones with the round in chamber indicator. I'm going to search a bit more to learn more about this. As a former range officer I am a safety first guy but want to know if there is a compromise involved and weigh the variables"To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medication to the dead." Ok I've setteled on the CW9 now looking at sight options.
I was was looking for a decent price on a night sight when I stumbled on one with a laser sight for about the same price. I see several that come with a lasermax red laser mounted in the trigger guard. I've never owned a gun with a laser sight. There are two model numbers I've seen on websites ( buds & gunsinc) Cz9093lm and cw9093lm. Is this a factory installed sight? How does the laser sight activate? Can I deactivate it so I can make sure as I train and shoot I am not reliant on it if its for some reason not working? If this is an aftermarket piece and will I have the factory trigger guard to reinstall if I find I don't like it.
What are others experiences with these laser sights on a Kahr pistols?
I'm kind of old school on this but was thinking if the additional cost is minimal it could be fun.
I've seen mention of the lasermax and a crimson laser sight (but only seen the lasermax as a priced option). Any difference between the two?
Thanks again you all have been tremendously helpful and generous in sharing your expertise.

Some people have difficulty finding a holster to their liking that will accommodate a laser sight.
I agree if minimal $, will be fun to play around, with but as you have already surmised will take different skills to activate in STIF situation if you try switching back and forth in training.
Laser should be easy on/easy off instillation.

The laser body clamps around the trigger guard and is easy to put on or take off. Now the bad news, I had a LaserMax on a LC9 and it was completely useless outside in the daylight. After owning that laser, I prefer night sights, XS Big Dots are my favorite for a carry gun."To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medication to the dead." Big fan of Crimson Trace lasers. Don't have to remember to activate. True no help in bright sunlight, but doesn't hurt anything either.Rest in peace Muggsy
