The Kahr's were designed from the ground-up to be personal small defensive pistols. They are not military pistols just made smaller, or a copy of another design. ^^^They are made to be carried with one in the chamber and in a holster. ^^^ The long smooth trigger pull is by design. To rack a slide requires 2 hands and is noisy. The Kahr design seems to be closer to a revolver than are other pistols.

Don't know why Kahr insists on the thick plastic base plates for the bigger guns, but have the flush steel plates on the smaller models.A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition

I got to shoot it this morning. 100 rounds with no issues at all. It shot great, it was me that shot a little low and left. Pretty good for the 1st time shooting it though. I still love my CZ, Sig, Walther, 1911, CW380 and Glock and I'm very happy with this one too.
