  • finally held a CW9

A 9mm is on the agenda this year. Like the Shield, but wanted to hold the Kahr in my hand. Unfortunately all the shops here only carry the CM9. I don't want one that small. Figured the CT9 would fit the bill. Still have not held the CT9, but I did get to hold the CT9 today. It fit very well. The grip was just long enough, with the magazine inserted, to get all 3 fingers on it. Made my mind up today, the Kahr CW9 trumps the Shield!

    Trumps the Shield, getting political?

Glad you liked the CW9, it is a great pistol.

      Both are great guns.

A friends wife, who always carried a 642, recently switched to a CW9, it and a government sized 1911 are the only pistols she can rack the slide without issue. She loves her CW9 and it's her EDC.

The CW9 is a great pistol. You'll really like it.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Great choice! Having had both the CT9 and CW9 I am partial to the CW9. I think it's a great size for EDC.

My latest addition is a CW9. This is after about one month's intensive research for a sweatpants single stack 9. From someone owns 11 Glocks, it was difficult to choose CW9 over Glock 43. At the end, CW9 won due to its lighter weight, larger grip, cheaper price and higher capacity. I still like Glock trigger better; Kahr's trigger is just like a DA revolver trigger to me.

Overall, I am happy for my purchase of CW9 to fulfill its designated role as a sweatpants/gym shorts gun. I think you will be happy with CW9.

IMHO, I don't have a Glock. I think a Glock trigger would be better at the range but the long smooth Kahr trigger much better for sweatpants carry.

I've got a Glock and a CW9. Nothing wrong at all with the Glock trigger but I prefer the Kahr. I've seen youtube videos of people slowly pulling and over exaggerating the Kahr trigger pull. Pull it just like you pull the Glock trigger. They both have a short take up then stop. The pull is longer on the Kahr but smooth and crisp, just pull right through. You may always prefer the Glock but in time, I think you will like the Kahr pretty well too.

A CW9 was my first one. Ten Kahrs later and I want another CW9. It will fit right in between my CM9 and CT9.

I pulled my CW9 out of the safe last weekend and fired 100 rds. [haven't shot it in close to a year] I forgot how well I like this little shooter and am now carrying it again.

I just got a CW9 and I love the thing! I have a couple Glocks and I much prefer my Kahr! Feels better in my hand, trigger feels better and I shoot it much better, probably because of the previous 2 reasons. I plan on getting a CT40 tomorrow so I have the 40 S&W caliber covered. It's my edc now, very handy size wise, can be easily concealed and comfortable to carry. Fits the bill!

@pzlehr. I can relate to that. I have Glocks, like them and will keep them. I prefer the Kahr trigger, ergonomics and concealability. I love my Glock 26 but if I had found the CW9 1st would have bought it instead. For now, I'll keep them both.
