  • Got a CW380

Got a little brother for my CM9. Bought it from Dad. About 100 rounds down the pipe. He said it jammed on him but he doesn't know anything about semi automatic pistols, he's a revolver guy. I bet the gun is just fine. Anyway, time for a couple pics ...(:IMG_20160604_185929447.jpgIMG_20160604_195817755.jpg

Great little weapon. Bet he wasn't locking his wrists. Revolvers don't care about that.

You might find yourself carrying that CW380 and leaving the others home.
    Rest in peace Muggsy

Thanks. Yeah he probably was limp wristing it. It's not broke in yet either. I'm going to try and get out and shoot it this week, although I just broke my leg day before yesterday and I'm on crutches. Hopefully my local shooting range will let me sit in a chair and shoot. It's an indoor range. I'd like to run about a hundred more rounds through this little 380 and see what she can do

Chair? Ya only broke one leg rowdy...with crutches and your good leg that's like shooting from a tripod

In all seriousness, nice score on the CW380 and here's to a full and speedy recovery.
        Regards,

Use some GOOD FMJ ammo and I bet you won't have a problem. Mine runs great! Once broken get the best CCW ammo you can afford.

Just check the threads on ammo for that thing. They are ammo finicky. PMC bronze works well for me on the range, and I carry Hornady Critical Defense. You may or may not still have some issues during break in no matter what ammo you use so be patient. Clean it real well before you take it out including disassembling the slide and cleaning it. They don't perform well when dirty so don't be surprised if you get 75 to 100 rds in and it starts acting up. Enjoy they are quite accurate and fun to shoot for a small pistol.

I bought some critical defense for it already. My dad gave me the remainder of his range ammo so I'll try and shoot it up first, HPR and American Eagle FMJ

Excellent plan. Once broken-in, try XTP's for carry.

The one thing I didn't do on either of my Kahrs was the initial cleaning. I went straight to the range, ran 100 rounds through them, and then cleaned it. Next trip it did the same. Haven't had any issues with that procedure

That's great you are one of the lucky ones with the 380 then because others have had issues with them when they are dirty. Don't know about the nines as my nines are Glocks and they just keep on ticking when filthy. I had two p380's but have sold one and both of them acted up when dirty. That's 100% on my end. But I carry it clean so I know it will perform if needed.
