New to Kahr arms, also new to this forum.

I was having some minor problems with my Glock 42 and decided to trade it at a gun show for a different micro carry. I was looking for maybe a Sig 230 but came home with a ct 380. No research, just an impulse buy, which by the way has plagued me all my life.

I cleaned and lubed it, took some assorted ammo and headed to and old gravel pit. It took a little time getting used to the sights and the trigger but I was shooting the little Kahr very well by the end of the day. No malfunctions, easy to shoot well and carried even better. What's not to like?

Since then I bought a cw45 that I had the same experience with. No malfunctions, dead nuts accurate and easy to carry. I'm very impressed with the Kahr line.

Two weeks ago ago I was trying on a pair of hiking boots at a local sporting goods store and the associate suggested I walk around for a while to see how they feel. So I walked over to the gun counter to take a look. They had a like new p40 for 500. I asked if I could take it apart looked it over. It had hardly been fired. After some talk, he said I could have it for 400. As long as I stay away from Fiocchi ammo it's been 100%. It's now my EDC.

Welcome - it sounds like you've had a good experience so far with Kahr.

All three of mine (PM9, CW45, CT380) are still running great.

I have about 500 rounds of the same brand in .45 that seem hot and gives all my guns fits. After firing and upon ejection the spent casing hits the next round and I end up with the next round nose up in the magazine. Craziest thing I've seen. Does it in Kahrs, XD's, and 1911's. Then in one of my 1911's it fails to extract.

Thanks for for the welcome from the senior members. This is a great forum with a wealth of wisdom. Heck, I already feel like I know something about these pistols. Not really.

I looked over my Kahrs today and checked for straightness and fit. Everything looks correct. I need to do some more shooting. So far so good. Thanks.

Buds Gun Shop lists factory new today for $590 (walk in store price). You rescued one and for a bargain. I must try your new hiking boot trick.

The CT380 feels great in the hand as does the CW9. So I stay away from them when browsing!

Now you've made me curious about the P40 at 16.8 oz. Beats my copy of the double stack G23 at 21.2 oz. Hummm.
