CW380 clipdraw?

Anyone modify a universal clipdraw to fit the cw380? Im considering buying one and figured I'd ask here first. The only problem I see is the mounting plate is to long and will interfere with the slide stop pin (I'll be mounting it on the right side). I'm sure with a little cutting and filing it would work. My goal here is to carry with just the clipdraw and a trigger stop. Should work nicely in gym shorts.

Not mine, not on a CW380, and I've no first hand experience with it, but I had this bookmarked from when I was looking for something to carry my P380:

Thanks for the responses. I don't want to mount the clip on the slide, so I'm going to cut it down and mount it on the frame. I still need to order one, but when I'm done I'll post some pics.

Am I the only one who thinks that shoving a Kahr (or any other striker-fired auto) in the waistband without a holster is a bad idea?

OP mentions using a trigger stop which should make it pretty safe.

I'm not on board mounting the clip to the frame. I think metal screwed into tupperware is not going to yield a harmonious outcome. But I've been wrong before too. Maybe it will work.
The trigger bar and trigger bar plate on the right side add additional concerns for me but it's not my plan so I'll try not to worry too much on it.

That photo I posted is somewhat misleading. The screws shown in the photo hold the clip to the other piece of metal. The whole clip mounts using 3M tape:

That helps some in the overall scheme. Guess I'm still skeptical mounting to the frame. Too much stuff in the way.

Definitely not. Just like shoving a pistol into a pocket without a pocket holster. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.

Double sided tape and a firearm? Not a good combination.

With all the myriad of carry options available, this has to be near the bottom of the list of options - right above using duct tape to stick it to your back....

Maybe we should have a look at the versacarry. I bought one a few years ago for my Shield, and while it worked after a while the gun would start to dig into spare tire a bit and get uncomfortable. I tried it with my ct380 and it works great and is reasonably comfortable being a smaller, thinner, lighter weapon than the Shield.

With a trigger stop behind the trigger, the gun is inert. It's not possible to press the trigger far enough to fire with a stop installed no matter how hard you press it. I have several stops made by garrison grips, they are pricey for a piece of rubber but I think they are a good option for going without a holster.

You can make your own out of a wine cork if you are cheap.

You're not alone. A pocket or waist-band holster provides many more functions than a convenient place to mount a clip. As noted, a correct holster protects the trigger but also covers other controls. It keeps lubricant in and dust & other debris away from the gun. It helps conceal. It provides consistent access to the pistol grips.

Sounds like a fun project but I might try a pistol w/ a factory clip like a Curve at a gun store before modifying a gun that I own. See if it works for you...
