  • 1911 mags?

My first official post after introducing myself on the new member forum, so please be nice.
A question about 1911 mags. I know there’s a sticky here, and I’ve read elsewhere on the internet that they need a slight modification to make work in my CW45. So tonight I came across an old 1911 mag I’d forgotten I had. It did cross my mind of course to give it a try.it snicked straight into place and locked in nicely, and I actually like the look of the flush plate better! I chambered a round, not a problem. Of course my question is, am I still going to have to modify this mag or am I good to go?

It’s been a long time since I have done one but if it seems to cycle rounds fine you might be OK. Seems like some work and some need a little modifying of the profile of the feed lips.

Also I’ve used Officer size 1911 ACTMAG magazines and they give you an extra round too.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
