    Not interested

I'm not interested in a 10mm Kahr. If ammo price and availabilty were better, my opinion might change.

Has anyone tried a CW40 barrel in a CW45? Nothing in life is every so simple.

I personally would be more interested in a Kahr .45 super or even as mentioned a Kahr 50ae. As long as we're going to have donkey-kicking guns we may as well keep our bore size the same or larger. In terms of wounding power, after penetration comes diameter!

Flyandscuba looks like there's some interest in a 10mm. Lets keep voiceing our opinion & make it happen.

Late arriving to this party, but I would certainly be down for one. I am a huge 10mm fan. It would be fantastic to have a K10, T10, or P10. Make them all please!

yup, dreamn, its a dead caliber. ain't gonna happen with akahr. Just my 21 cents on this, but I am never wrong!!!Just sayin
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I'd think it would be like shooting a 40 cal KelTec only worse and THAT'S a pleasure I can pass on! Heck, I'm not that thrilled about shooting my P9F a whole bunch. My CW9 and PM9 are a pleasure to shoot, however.

Truth being spoken here. The 40cal is a 10mm Short and Weak.

You guys are a bunch of sissies. I want one in .50 Action Express. Now that would be a pocket pistol. Only slightly less deadly to the shooter than to the person being shot. I can see myself trying to wrench the front sight free from the center of my forehead.

Oh this is going back a ways... but the pistol is still in use.

I built a 10mm 1911 before Colt had the Delta Elite out. I beat 'em to it by a good six months. Back in the day, and it was.. what... mid to late 80's, Irving Stone, of Bar-Sto was alive, and would chat your ear off if you happened to get him, or ask for him, on the phone. Such was my case. Irv informed me that he had just finished a batch of barrels for Colt, for their prototype of a new 10mm Govt. Model. As was the case with the Officer's ACP, he made some extras for himself to sell. Did I want one? A deal was made, and Irv told me that he'd toss in some Norma brass (20 pieces), but I'd have to go to Huntington Die Specialties for dies, and to Norma for bullets. Huntington sent a set of 10mm Bren dies (as it was called then), and lo... also send twenty Norma bullets of 170 grains each. I was all set. The pistol started life as a 38Super, and I opened up the breech face by hand using a Dremel with an adapted (and safe bottom) carbide burr. The final fit of the breech face was a bit of pseudo-broaching using a ground down Grobet warding file. I had a little rework to do on the ejector... turns out just a reface of the .38 Super worked. Irv told me that Wilson .45 mags would hold the 10mm and feed it. So I got one.

Now for the good part... no loading data. I decided to try some Blue Dot in a .38 Super load... on the hot side, to see how it fared. Three shots. Pressure was fine. Pistol fed. Then I got the Norma ballistics and cringed. The slide velocity on the Colt would be REALLY high. Another set of calculations and it was clear that the slide was about 2-1/2 ounces too light (which will be Kahr's problem in spades btw). Wilso also made a bushing comp that weighed.... just over 2-1/2 ounces!~ I shot that gun, with the same load as a novelty for a while, till Colt came out with the Delta. They had dual recoil springs - not like Kahr's btw. Also took the bridge out of the frame at the slide stop opening. Colt 10mm mags were scarce, but I got two, and they fed in my pistol just fine. Also 10mm ammo was now available in limited supply, so I got some of that, and found it hotter than my load by just a little bit. (I'd gotten 1 - and only 1 box of Norma bullets from them, through the range I was working at). So ... there ya go. My 10mm story. Pistol now belows to Ed W. as part of a multi caliber set of .22, 9mm, 38Super, 10mm and 45ACP -- all on the same frame (with ejector changes as needed for cartridge). He's still got it, after all these years, to the best of my knowledge.

Kahr will have a lot of trouble with the 10mm in its pistols. Slide velocity will be a major factor, and the resultant rise time (which I continually beat into folks because I've dealt with it) will be the achilles heel. They also have an almost non existant overlap in feeding... does not make for a good 10mm pistol.

They get it worked out with a massive slide or some special spring layout.... I'd be interested. Won't hold my breath.

But, a nice 38/45 might be nice. Or 357 Sig perhaps? .40 Corbon? Maybe... not likely, but 38/45 is very doable.

AS muggsy said all those that think the 10mm is too much recoil maybe need to consider a lady Remington.
Maybe its just me but I feel the 10mm recoil feels like a 45
                              Love the round

CJB I bought some underwood 40sw 155gr loads to try out in a tp40. It is fast, 1302fps 10 shot average average from a 4" barrel and is reliable. Went a friends house to try in his cw40 and we averaged 1292fps but it will not cycle smoothly enough to chamber a round. So it became a single shot to check velocity with. This was a almost brand new pistol with few rounds fired so springs are in good shape. I would hate to try to rack it or load the mag with spring heavy enough to control recoil of the slide. Maybe others have tried an succeeded. I don't believe kahr could make it work or they would have given use the option of a 357 sig by now.

Just to small a pistol for so much velocity and energy.

I think the same problem can be found in 1911's short barreled models when just moveing up to some of the faster 45+P loads.

Anyone try boutique brands of 185gr 45+P loads in the cw or P series pistols and they run well with them.
