CW9--Awesome Pistol!

OK, bought my new Kahr CW9 this weekend at a local gun show. Traded my Taurus 709 for it. The 709 is a fine firearm but I coudn't hit anything with it.

Went to an indoor range this evening and shot at 5 yards. First few magazines were to get used to the trigger. First few shots were low and left. After about 40 to 50 rounds, got the groupings up. By the time I was done at around 120 rounds getting all shots on target, center to center left.

Great feel, great response, great experience! An earlier poster to these boards talked about high recoil on this gun. NO WAY!

We took that earlier poster and used him to test our new Kahrtalk bungee jumping platform. It's really something to see, about 600 ft high. Unfortunately we discovered with his assistance that we need to shorten the bungee cord at least 100 ft.
We're currently looking for another tester, I wouldn't recommend volunteering.

Good choice and you will be happy with the CW9.

I had a PT111. Never had a problem with the pistol except for the fact that I never could get any shots to group. I practice with that thing more than I ever wanted to but even benching it. Looked like a shot gun pattern on the target. I looked at the 709 but remembered the PT111. For the extra $40.00 or so got the Khar.

Not the same with the CW9. Good groups and point of aim is point of impact! What more can you ask for (and the trigger pull lenght and weight is pretty much the same as my SP 101 in DA).

The CW9 is a fine CCW pistol with a good trigger that will get smoother as you run more rounds through it.

If you are serious about improving accuracy, getting the feel and learning control of the CW9 DA trigger will significantly improve your groupings. Get some A-Zoom snap caps for dry firing. First, aim at a very small target, stage the trigger, then focus on any movement in the "front" sight as you pull the trigger. Ample dry fire practice will force you to properly use your trigger finger -- which can move the front sight off-target as you pull through the trigger -- a subject too lengthy for a forum post.

Your support hand plays a key role in steadying your aim and keeping the front sight on-target when firing. Also devote time to 5-finger and hand strengthening exercises between range visits.

That should cut down on negative feedback. Congrats on the purchase of a fine pistol. Can't go wrong with the CW series.An excellant gun at a fine price!

Got mine last week and have put 200 rounds thru it without a clitch! I just got home with a Bianchi model 100 professional holster for it. 50 bucks and its a clip on that goes anywhere, pocket, IWB strong and weak side and inbetween the belt and your pants on the outside. Great leather and goes the lenght of the gun fit is perfect.Size 10A from Cabelas. I work at Bass Pro but our selection of holster suck.

WE??? Where do you work Jocko, if you dont mind my asking. I put mine on as soon as I got home.I cant carry at work but put it on as soon as i get home and when i get out of bed in the morning. The only way to get use to a holster is to wear it every day just like your underwear

I have been pocket carrying my Pm9 for over 4 years and today for some reason whenI drove to Terre haurte to walk in the mall for awhile, when I got there I remembered Ihad left my PM9 on the book case. I felt very strange today, as that just does not happen...I never leave without my PM9- never.

Riding and shooting are both therapeutic. Trouble is shooting is more expensive although I have 2 grand in upgrade accessories on my bike. I work on small engines and other things to afford my habit.Made 60 bucks yesterday shoveling snow, bought a Bianchi holster. the neighbor just came over and picked up his snow blower that quit working. Made 50 bucks and just got back from Walmart with 100 rounds of federal FMJ 115gr.ammo and some new winchester ear muffs!!! I have enough money left over to pay for the new CW9 magazine I ordered which will be in Friday. Yes, life is good and if you want something bad enough you will work your a#$ off for it.

Well I was getting reay to buy a softail heritage classic but lost my job and bought this Kawasaki 900LT classic instead. Got a full time job after about 3 months but paid cash for this one and never regretted it. Got HK stripper exhaust, mustang seat,cobra highway bars and luggage rack plus windshield lowers,PhattII pullback risers and OEM passenger floorboards plus heated grips!! I love my bike but the damn thing is LOUD!!
