  • Greetings from Tampa Bay

My name is Herman, right now I carry a Sigma 40VE (which I like alot) while I wait for my new Kahr CW9 to arrive sometime this week.

I've been reading all the good things about the CW9 then handled one at my LGS ($450 there), then went online and ordered one from Buds. Can't wait for it to get here. The transfer fee will be $20 including the call. I was attracted to the sleek, simplicity of it's looks. It should be a nice comfortable gun for me to carry here in the hot Florida summers.

Hi Cruizer,a lot of us use our Kahr for carry all year long but they are particularly comfortable in the warmer momths.Very easy to conceal with a tee shirt and shorts. Welcome to the forum,we`re glad you found us.
In the area in which I now reside, when I`m placed in a group of four or five guys,I`m known as "the smart one".God help me.

        Welcome and don't forget...

Welcome aboard, cruizer, great gun you got headed your way - hope she's a real shooter for you. And yes, with that weather you have in Tampa Bay you're especially going to love the CW9, especially in the summer months. One suggestion for you, if you haven't done so already, head over to the Kahr tech section and hit up the lube chart and the proper prep of your gun, very helpful information that will be of benefit for you.

          what MikeyKahr said 10-4..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Welcome aboard cruizer. I too live the Tampa Bay Area. I live in Lakeland but worked in the Tampa Area for the past 32 years.
I second all the previuos comments. I currently have two Kahrs one PM9 and one PM45 and love them both. They are definately the easiest two handguns to carry concealed especially in our hot Florida climate.
No shoratage down here for places to go shoot. Good luck with your new arrival.

Kahrs are a really good personal protection weapon. I am not recoil sensative, but these guns are quite mild in the felt recoil department due to their ergonomic design. I think you will be pleasently surprised.

Hey cruizer. I'm pretty new here too and the CW9 is what I own as well. I've only had the time to put 150rnds through mine but no problems what so ever. Hope you have the same experience and welcome.

Welcome to the asylum, shoot it plenty, and listen to the folks around here.

Welcome from the COLd Missouri area. I jut got my CW about 3 weeks ago and also have only put 150 rounds thru it. Walmart has the cheapest ammo I have found so far. Just bought Federal FMJ for $10.47 a box so I bought 5 boxes! Never had a gun I liked as much as this one. EDC for sure!!!
