Thanks to all of you that commented on my photo's in the Kahr picture thread. I decided to make this new thread since their where so many comment's about it and to leave the kahr picture thread for pictures. Anyways this is my Kahr Cw9 that I have had for almost a year now and I just got done doing a couple of modifications to it that I've been wanting to do for a while. Sorry for not answering your guy's comments in the picture thread but feel free to comment here in this thread and I'll be more than happy to comment back.
Grip Tape How to -
I'm pretty sure you all done this before but you know how if you put a penny on a hard surface and then put a piece of paper on top of the penny then where the penny is under the piece of paper you take a pencil and go back and forth over that area and you have the image of the penny now on the paper. I did the same thing with my slide, put the paper over the slide serrations and go back and forth with a pencil and now you have a template to set on top of the grip tape for cutting. I cut out the serrations that I just traced onto the paper then I measured the serration height and cut out a strip of grip tape to that size which should be around 5/8 of an inch. Then I took the paper template that I traced with the pencil and put that over top of the grip tape that I cut to 5/8 of an inch and then I just took a pair of scissors and cut out the serration slots one by one. Hope that was a good enough of an explanation for you guy's I should of took some pictures when I was doing it. Just make sure when you do this you trace the serrations on the paper for each side a couple of time's in case you cut the grip tape to small or too big like I did.
Bobtail How to -
This was easier to do than the Grip Tape. All I did was took some tape and just laid it on the grip to where I wanted the cut out to be, leave the cut area exposed and put a lot of tape all around the grip it in case you slip with whatever tool it is that your using. I used a dremel with a cut off wheel to cut most of it off at first, then I took a sanding wheel for the dremel and did the rest very slowly. After I got the cut to where I liked it I just took some 150 grit sand paper to round off the edge's of the cut. I will get a close up picture of the bobtail cut later for you guy's.
