  • Hello everybody!

Just picked up my CW9 at the gun show in Charlotte this weekend. I've wanted on for so long, I saw my first Kahr when I took my CCW class. I absoloutley love this/these guns! Just ordered a P9 slide stop so I can ditch the MIM on the CW9. I read all over the forums, many thanks to Jocko for all the lube and prep info. Doing my 200 round brak in on Sat. will follow up with how hat goes. I look forward to being a part of this community and just wanted to make a formal intro.

      That's my fear,.

I also have one question in regards to the extractor. When loaded it seems like the extractor bulges out a little. Take the round out and it goes back flat. I had it apart for cleaning and slid a casing in so that the extractor caught and it does move. Seems like it was designed that way but I want to make sure there is no flying stainless on Sat. only lead.

It's like a loaded chamber indicator. You can feel it or see it and know that theres a round ready to depart.

That's what I assumed. From all the research I did I can't really imagine getting a lemon from the people at Kahr. Thanks for getting back on that so quick.

I must have missed that in all the excitement. I guess I'll re-read that manual.

Wounder if they'll get mad if I do that at work???

It's perfectly fine to read the owners manual at work. Just tell them that Dietrich said it was ok.

Depending on your line of work field stripping at your desk may or may not be recommended.

I talked to your boss and they said it was totally okay. Actually, they told me you should take the afternoon off tomorrow to have an extra range session. Welcome to the addiction!!

                        Welcome to the forum.

If you have shot DA revolvers then you'll be good to go with the CW9's long trigger pull. Just keep pulling steady. There is a stage but it is not like a DA revolver. Also, has a long reset so, don't short stroke it.

Make sure you load the first round using the slide stop lever. At least until the gun is broken in.

Where I work, they ask me every day where my guns are if my range bag is not sitting on my desk. I spend most of my lunch break talking to people about guns, ammo and holsters if I am not at the range shooting My desk can accommodate several guns for field stripping and cleaning and is done frequently.
