I’m going to be ordering a second magazine from Kahr for my CW45. I see they are offering a 7 round magazine without the grip extension. Dose anyone know if the 7 round magazine is the same length as the standard 6 round magazine that came with my gun? I do not want the 7 rounder if it is going to add any length to the grip.

The 7 round mag is made for the longer grip on the TP45. It will fit your CW45 but will extend 1/2" beyond the standard mag. Still an option, if not to carry, then for a reload or practice, IMHO.Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Hey Frank,
If you do a google search on Kahr Magazines, you can find some better prices than the Kahr shop offers. Just make sure they say they are Kahr factory mags.
I just got some from Midwest Hunters Outlet and saved about $8-$10 per mag.
That outfit is kind of pokey getting things in the mail, so I might try another source.
I got my .40 mags from CDNN sports, but they didn't have any .45 last time I looked.Tom

HY*NDAI is to cars, what Caracal, Hi-Point, and Jennings is to handguns. The cars may or may not run ok, but the corporation SUCKS.

old salt, try to get the 7 rds mag with the finger extention... it is better for concealment.
gb6491... is the slide stop in your CW45 the original one or did you get a different one?
Just curious, because mine is coming off after shooting every number of rds and this is no fun since it is my main ccw.
Thanks!

That slide stop is a replacement. It's what comes on the P45.Originally posted by Cornel View Post

I had an issue with my stop coming out of the frame every once and a while. Here's a little reading on what seemed to fix it for me:

Wow, I can’t image the slide stop backing out of the frame. The one I have in my CW45 is not very easy to remove. I have to tap it with the back of my screw driver then very gently pry it up enough so I can get a good grip before it will come out. Same is true with my CW9 and PM9.
I always load my Kahr’s as recommended in the manual but one thing I did notice with my new CW45 is I have no trouble manually racking the first round from a full magazine, and I can shoot a tighter group with the CW45 than I can my CW9 maybe because the 45 has a little longer grip.
gb6491 Thank you for the link very good information for future reference.
