  • CW45 Night Sight Recommendations

Howdy folks from a "newb" to the Kahr Kult and this website. I have enjoyed the posts and the "lively" banter!
I recently purchased a CW45 for EDC and in the "break in period" with a few issues. The issue of most concern now is finding night sights that fit as these old eyes have a little issue with the dot-bar. Your thoughts and experience is most welcome!
    Thanks!

Dawson Precision would be my first stop for CW sights. I just looked, didn't think to copy the site link but they have fiber optics and other options available for the CW's.

My first choice would be XS Big or standard dots but I don't think they are available for CW's YET.

Dawson makes good stuff and they are good to deal with.

here u go, this sight will fit perfect, a no brainer to install and u will see that fiberoptic better in the day time than any other sight.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I generally prefer Meprolight sights, but as they are not available for the CW series (without having the slide milled), I went with the Trijicons that Kahr sells. I'm very satisfied with them on my CW45:

Thank you for the info! I have been looking and calling around to about every resource I knew. Many don't have or no interest in Kahr sights. One gunsmith said he wouldn't even touch them (and not too nicely worded) so what better place to come for advice! Previous carry had TFO's so I got spoiled. I will check out total for sights and install from Kahr and Dawson and thanks for the links!

not much of a gun smith IMO to make such a stupid statement. About like a tire store telling a person, we don't fix flats...

Agreed! This shop is infamous for doing things their way - which probably means expensive and/or big projects. Told me if they decided to do anything it would be a least a 9 month wait and deposit up front. I told them thanks for the information and I'll keep them in mind. I am obviously in the wrong line of work

oh my, these people must be related to cylinder and slide, as it took exactly 7 months for them to "ALLOW" me to send my PM9 in for some custom work and then another 45 days tog et it back. I was suckered in by the "famouse cylinder and slide reputation".

Yes in deedy! One in same-don't bother us - customer service?what customer service ?- yeah, that's the one! Nice to know I'm not the only one!
Found a guy in Alabama that will do it for cost of parts plus $40 and turn around in 24 hours. He said he would be delighted to try it as long as I get him the sights and send the slide. He offered to look at three different dealers, call distributors etc. Now THAT is service.

At some point I'd like to get night sights for my CW45. Phooey, I'd be curious how your experience goes and what the total cost would be, if you don't mind my asking.

EDIT: Oops, I didn't see your other post today.
