  • New to the forum and new CW9 owner

    Hello!

I am new around here. I bought a used CW9 recently and i am wondering if I can contact Kahr and find out if my gun has ever been back to them for any work? Would anyone know the answer to this? I have not just called Kahr yet as I honestly just thought of this while registering to the site.

Welcome TN_Mike. I couldn't say for sure but I would think there would be a record of it if your gun ever went back.

Do you have issues/concerns or why do you care?

WHY. shoot the damn gun first to make sure it is OK. u might want to go to the kahr tech section an hit on two great sticky's

      #1 Kahr lube chart
#2 propper prepijg of your new kahr

both will ae ur cw9 a first time out for you--SUCCESS.

You can't do anything about the past, so why even worry about it. Makes zero sense. Enjoy the cw and just shoot it like u stole it. treat the gun as a new one break it in the same way as a new one.

welcome to the forum, and u have now meet ol jocko who will tell how it is!!!!
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

No reason to think it may or may not have gone in for service. I was just curious that's all.

          welcomw to KahrTalk, Mike.

You will find there's a lot of good info here concerning Kahr handguns, as well as a goodly portion of good natured BS. You will also find this isn't a "fan boy club" as many product related sites are. If someone has a legit complaint, it does not go unnoticed by the members.

              Hi TN Mike,

Welcome to the forum, you will find that we have a great buch of members on Kahr Talk. There are a few things you should know about your first Kahr and reading the owners manual a few times will help you with that. If you don't know how old your used CW9 is and the number of rounds shot I would treat it as a new gun. Go to gun tech as jocko suggested and get familiar with the gun, then take it to the range and see how it shoots. You may have plenty of questions after your first field stripping and first range visit. I have a CW9 that has been 100% reliable and a great gun to carry. It is feeling a little neglected because of my CW45 that I’ve been carrying more and more. My used PM9 has replaced my LCP as my pocket carry. Good luck, have fun but be safe.

                    Welcome Tennessee Mike!

I think you're onto something, maybe some young buck here will see a business opportunity and start a business called GUNFAX.
