  • Got my free mag in the mail today.

Okay it was free and all but is this not the dumbest looking thing ever. Looks like it was made for another pistol. Is this right?

Yep it's right and your right too. Looks pretty dumb to me and most others as well.

I assume it must be so somebody could grab and rip the mag out easier for a fast load or something. Best I can come up with for a why and what for.

I stick with the flush or lower count mags, just to ugly and life is short.

Ok just curious I guess I can use it at the range. How do you guys feel about the Pearce grip extensions.

Nothing wrong with carrying that as a reload either.

I personally don't like the idea of something like that sticking out the bottom of a smaller gripped handgun. Seems like it might be possible to tension it just a bit with my hand causing a failure to feed. I don't really care for the Pearce grip extensions either. I generally prefer a handgun with a large enough grip I can get my fingers on, however I don't really have issue with the grip on my Ruger SP101 and having the pinky under the grip... might be because I can not tweek or tension the grip on that revolver in any way to cause it to fail.

All that said and I would not have issue with a longer mag for range play where a feed failure wont get me shot.

Just noticed that is an 8 round mag for the CW9... IF you really really hate it I'll trade a 7 rounder for it. I have Pearce extensions or the normal plastic end plate.

I will agree I received my magazine in the mail the other day and thought I was the only one which thought it was ugly! Thankfully the my local gun store carries the magazines cheap and had already purchased three!

Thanks for the info guys. It appears I don't qualify because I have owned my CW9 for a couple of years.

                          Just an FYI...

I bought my CW9 on 8-31-11, and picked it up from my dealer on 9-12-11. A week later I found out about the free mag offer, starting with purchases on 9-1-11.

                          Poop!

Well, no guts, no glory. I figured I could afford the cost of a stamp, so I sent in the app with a copy of my receipt, both indicating a purchase date of 8-31-11. About a week later, I got the mag!

So, what the heck. Give it a try.

u did the wise thing, as did kahr.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
