If this is it, he really needs to replace the recoil spring at a minimum. I recommend what I did which was replace all the usual springs: recoil, striker and mag springs. I went with the Wolfe stronger springs for recoil and mags and standard for striker (sorry Jocko), it came with the recoil spring..
    Maybe polish the slider, too?
    Very interesting...

It sure sounds like an out of battery condition. The magazine can be completely out of the weapon and the striker will be reset by reciprocating the slide. The weapon does not even need the magazine in the gun to reset the striker.

Well, if it is the mag, Kahr will certainly replace it. Better if you can convince them without sending the gun in. But if you have to send it, get them to send you a prepaid freight label.

          Gentlemen:

It has degraded to the point where it will not even dry fire without jiggling the slide.

Return authorization has been requested and this device will be on it's first trip to repair.

Please...no more responses, my frustration level with this new gun is now at it's peak.

          Thanks

Rwehnau. Okay, sorry this one is a problem. I hope they get it fixed right and back to you soon. You have worked with us well and sometimes we tend to work problems till the cows come home. Please do let us know how it eventually works out.

+1 This is an unusual problem and we'd love to know what the cause and solution was? Kahr customer service will take good care of you.
              Best Regards,

                updated status:

                Back from shop and says:

Replaced barrel, slide stop reworked, and reworked trigger bar.

Had a couple of light primer strikes out of the first magazine, but so far, so good
