I turned the Bersa BP9cc in to this with a series of trades.

I bought a BP9cc. Didn't like it so I traded it off for a LNIB Canon Eos Rebel Digital SLR, remote flash and two lenses. (about $900 worth of equipment)

The guy that traded for it wasn't a gun guy and his wife found it. She flipped. He offered it back to me for $250. I bought it.

We have a very active local Trader forum in Atlanta called the ODT. In the last week I:

Traded the BP9cc for a SR40
6 hours later I traded the SR40 for a NOS OD Glock 39
24hrs later I traded the G39 for a Gen4 G26
24hrs later I sold the G26 for $500
2hrs later I bought the CM9 +2 mags for $400.

Soooo in the end I traded my $250 BP9cc for a CM9

I almost took a black diamond pm40 in trade for the Glock. I would have flipped it though. I had a PM40 before and never warmed to it. I jumped off the wagon at the right station here.
