i did some backyard ballistics tests w/ my pm9 and the 147 win pdx & rangerT's were the most impressive. the expansion was great even through denim and it busted up the pumpkins better than everything else we tried. the impact on the target seemed harder too when we shot at a vest mounted on plywood, the 147gr broke the wood behind the vest. of the guys i was shooting with, we all agreed that the 147gr was best from my pm9.
    try some tests = fun!

I ordered the Federal HST today in 124 grain... Thanks for this thread and thanks to everyone who responded. Now I'm working on getting a PJ IWB holster and I'll be set.

I have only tried pdx1's since I just bought the gun not too long ago. I didn't have any issues shooting them but my wife did. Everytime she would shoot, the slide would lock back. Anybody ever experience this? She had zero problems using regular federal fmj 115g

I use for practice ether 115gr or 124gr fmj what ever is cheap. I used up the last hornady CD i had and bought a bunch of georgia arms 124gr+P hp they use the speer gold dot bullet. They have to call it speer bonded unicor but it is the GD. Advertized FPS is 1200fps average. It reach's that from my glock . My CW9 shoots it at 1192fps average and the CM9 is 1168 fps. All shot thru a chrony f-1 and a ten shot average.

all i carry lately is the 147gr pdx's and my pm9 has never had any issues with them. i have fired a couple boxes of them and the rangerT's (same thing only diff is bonding) through it w/out issue. i also shoot them in my .40 glock w/out issue but that thing eats everything.

I have 275 rounds through my CM9 now and today put 24 flawless Hornady Critical Defense rounds and the last one shot well, but the slide didn't lock back. So all 25 were very accurate. I had some problems early, but it is now performing great.

Wow not a lot of love for the Golden Sabres here just a couple. I prefer those exclusively they are priced well at 15/box at CTD and have nice rounded curves that make them feed reliably. I had a lot of issues with rangers i attributed to the sharp angles awhile back.

I bought 124gr golden sabers also due to the rounded shape and I use the slingshot method and it works flawlessly.

I’ve tried 5 from my PM9 all without issue.

                            Gold Dot 124+p
                            Gold Dot 147

GS is a good round just that most post their preference on this forum and GS is not the top of the preference list. It is a good round, been around a long time. It is well accepted. IT MUST WORK TO BE A GOOD ROUND,

Rubb. hit on some good rounds. I have never shot WWB HP in anything. I like Gold dot 124+P and I like the corbon powerball and the corbon 125 hp and corbon dpx. but they are all good, so if ur cool with what ever brand ur shooting STICK WITH IT. I serioulsly doubt if there is a hill of beans difference in the 124 Gold dot and the 125 grain Corbon HP..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
