That post about the 9mm magazines is almost a year and a half old. Maybe they charge more for postage or shipping now, but I think that post showed that I paid $6.62 for shipping two of those 8-round mags AND one of the P380 6-round mags.

I look at shipping carefully because some businesses make more profit off the shipping and handling. $15 shipping for ONE mag is nuts! Priority USPS is only about $5 for one pound or less. A magazine weighs about 2 ounces!
Considered the total price delivered... tax or not, shipping and the cost of the magazine. Buying two or more should NOT be multiples of a "fixed" shipping cost. Two or three mags cost about the same to ship or mail as ONE does.

I kind of thought $15 for one magazine was just a little steep considering their web site showed the shipping for a CM9 was $10.99 when I clicked on "calculate shipping". Can't figure out what or how it could be cheaper to ship a gun than a mag unless they have some handling charge built into the gun price its self. $363 plus $11 shipping at CTD is a better price than Bud's at $399 and free shipping, not much, but almost enough to pay for a second mag.

you are correct Allen.....that is the exact reasoning I did with my CM9 purchase.....the difference would buy another mag.

Go to ivanhoe's and get two... then shipping is only $2.50 each. Or get three and shipping is only $1.66666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666 666667 each.

THese little 6 round magazines need to be filled all the time... the more magazines you have, the less filling.

                I just ordered the CM9 + 1 6rd Mag for $409 shipped to my FFL from grabagun.com.

I haven't received it yet to see if there were any issues with the extra mag being shipped with the gun, but it shows that it has been shipped and I am expecting it at my FFL guys place tomorrow.

Cheaper than dirt is offering a new shipping option called, "US Postal thru FedEx SmartPost". Takes 7-10 business days. Shipping was $6.73 for a Kahr magazine.

Some outfits probably can throw an extra mag or two into the box... plenty of room in the Kahr case, but others may have the guns and shipping located elsewhere, as in "drop shipping". Higher than USPS Priority rates is just more profit for the dealer. The small flat rate box will hold a bunch of magazines and costs just $5.35. Flat rates per item are outrageous sometimes, especially 2-ounce Kahr magazines!

I like have extras for range use and I carry 1 extra. I ended up with 3 extra purchased from 2 sellers on gunbroker. Around $ 30 each I think.

Good idea to have a spare.

Per Murphy's Law, when things go wrong, two is one and one is none.

Having only one magazine at the range can slow you down when firing rounds for break in.
