  • How any rounds between cleaning?

How many round do you think that I should fire between good cleaning of the PM9? Cleaned it before taking it to the range. Racked the slide alot.
Just put another 200 rounds through the gun.I cleaned it after the first 100 rounds. I have had zero issues so far. Loving this gun. Going forward how often should I clean the gun?

good question, here would be muy answer, if ur just gonna range shoot it, then u can go alot further before cleaning as any burp in shooting is not going to cost u ur life, but if you gonna range shoot it a 100+ rounds and then come home and load with defense stuff and stick it in ur pocket, then for me it would be cleaned and lubed.

Why chance it,for now ur life could be on the line...YMMV
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I clean after every shooting, never leave the gun dirty for any length of time. Like to do it same day but sometimes it don't happen.

I've frequently went 250 or 300 rounds during a range session and don't clean until I get it home.

Some guns of course might need at least a minimal wipe down to keep going especially if they are new and tight but generally I just clean afterwards.

+1 All guns clean after shooting, Like Bawanna I try to clean them the same day but do not always get it done but always by the second day. The exception is my carry gun if I cannot clean it the same day that I shoot it I rotate to another one of my carry guns that is already clean, lubed and ready to go.

Once again, I agree 100% with you, Jocko.

Right after coming back from the Range. Soak all parts , brew some coffee while parts marinade and then get right to it. My guns are always spotless and ready for action.

Likewise. Going to bed with a gun dirty is like going to bed with a dirty crotch. Or something like that.

I clean my guns every time after shooting them. If it's a gun I carry, it gets a visual check for lint, fuzz, hair, etc. and wiped down if necessary every week or so.

I don't know what the rule is, but I clean after every shooting. It's really not a chore to me. I actually like to do it.

I've learned to love the smell of Hoppe's #9. My wife puts a dab of it behind each ear when she's in the mood. I clean my guns at the conclusion of that days shooting and seldom shoot more than 100 rounds in one session. A clean gun is a happy gun.

                            Like many others.
I CC my PM9 everyday so if I take it to the range and shoot it. It gets cleaned as soon as I get home.
To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.
