  • CM9 warranty

    Greetings -

I am interested in buying a new CM9 from Bud's Police Supply (I'm able to qualify for purchase from this site).

Bud's offers a lifetime extended warranty for buyers who use their no-interest financing option (through GE).

Is this a good deal or necessary? Is Kahr's 1 year warranty adequate or do they stand behind their products which are out of warranty?

If I didn't use their financing, they charge like $11 more to use a credit card than a personal check or e-check. Is it good to have the purchase protection of a credit card if there are problems with the order?

Finally, any good places to buy an extra mag for the CM9? Is the 6 round mag the mag of choice now?

    Thank you///

The Kahr warranty period is five (5) years. Here's a link to their service document.

Can't really offer any advice on financing, but I'm sure you can do the math and make a good decision.

Here's hoping your new pistol works well. To help ensure that, you might want to visit the Tech Section here and review the extra break in and lubrication stickies there.

Admittedly, you could just lightly lube and hit the range, but if you want to improve your odds, at least review the information presented there.

    Best of luck!
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

The no interest financing sounds great. Kahr are good on warranty support and, five years in, your gun should be good to go with occasional spring changes.
        Very interesting...

I was thinking when we bought the CM9 that is was a 5 year warranty (which I thought was kinda short for a gun seeing as some have lifetime)... I have to say when you mentioned it being only 1 year my eyes got kinda big for a second...

its 5 years and that is plenty enough.. yes some do have a life time, and most do not.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
