kahr pm 9 bulge questions?

im a new pm 9 owner and found the notch, and this is normal i know now. i also read about the bulge and this is also normal and by design. take a look at my pics of my rails they kind of look like they are vearing to the left, is this the way the bulge looks?

Just checked my CM9, it does not do that. At least not that I can tell.

The rails don't look parallel, but it could just be an odd camera angle. How does the slide function? Are you seeing abnormal wear in places? Those would be the questions I'd ask. If it functions perfectly and you're not getting odd wear in the poly frame, I'd say all is well.

i am by no means experienced with kahr or handguns in general but i believe the "bulge" is where the polymer frame gets a tad wider right in front of the trigger guard, as far as i know what you have is not normal, from my limited expedience i would say that the right rail looks normal and the left is abnormal, i would call kahr and ask them.... or wait for jocko to reply as far as i know he is the unofficial kahr guru

That camera angle is funky... I personally wouldn't draw any conclusions from it. Can you take another picture with the frames not near the edges of your camera's field of view?

This. The distortion from the camera lens can play tricks on straight lines. Plus you're not holding the frame square.

here some more pics, if you look closely you can tell the rail is slightly canted to the left, it doesnt look uniform with the right side either. i brought it used on a different forum, if there is an issue how does kahr usually handle something like this, i never had a problem with any of my firearms before. i havent taken it to the range yet, but from what i understand the seller told me that she functions fine. as long as i wont have a problem in the future and she works when i need it im ok with it...

what emopunker 2004 said is what I would suggest. It to me looks OK, photos are deceiving to. The two raills are an inbedded one peace.

I'm the seller. As I told the op, I never noticed the curve in the rail. I only put 250-300 rounds through the gun and had no issues except 2 fail to feed in the first mag through the gun. David, if your not comfortable taking it to the range, call kahr cs and ask who you speak to for their email address and send them the pics just to confirm it is not an issue. If everything is ok, than great, if not let me know and I'll do whatever I can to resolve the issue.

i plan on taking it out to the range on saturday, ill send photos to kahr and see what they say, even though im the second owner will kahr handle this if there is an issue? one other thing worries me though, will this affect accuracy at all?

I'd just bend it a little. It's polymer, after all. Personally, I think it's more aesthetic than anything else if it IS an issue. That said, just try tweaking it slightly with your hand if you can.

until u shoot it , ur never gonna know. My two cent is that it will not and when the slide allthe way back likeur showing, the barrel can take a different angle as it is also now point up to as it is alock breech gun, so when the slide retracrts the barrels goes into it cycling sequence. Ur front rails have mor eplay in them inside the lside itself than the back two rails . IMO they are the rails that keep the slide in order to, the front merely are guides for the slide to retract. the front rail is a one peace inbedded steel unit, can it get off when molded, I would say it could. Is urs that way. I don't know from the photos . If they are not right the gun will act up for u right off the start.

Do a good cleaning, do a good lube thin.g read the propper prepping thread ad then just tak eit out and shoot it like u stole it. THEN CALL KAHR but if it works and shoots good, what are u gonna tell um???
