  • wellu will never know, but what I do know is that you efore that first shot had a much better knowledge of the workings of your kahr. So who cares, the gun works, u can take most of the credit for pre-empting what maybe could have been.

    Nice post IMO.

      • Nothing but smooth sailing with my new CM9. I did the prep steps from here on the forum and went thru the first 100 with no problems what so ever. Conceals great, handles recoil well and is very accurate for such a small package. The sights are very user friendly and once you master the long trigger pull its a great little package!

        • Brand new PM9 picked up last week -- put my first 100 rounds through it yesterday. I did (most) of the prep work from the excellent post on this forum and had zero failures. At one point the guy shooting next to me (indoor range) came over and politely said "excuse me, I'm sorry to interrupt (I was re-loading) but your shot groups are great and I wanted to see what you're shooting". He saw the full size M&P 9mm on the table in front of me and assumed that's what I was firing......until I corrected him and steered his eyes to the PM9. He couldn't believe it and honestly I was very impressed by its accuracy at 15 - 20 feet. Very nice gun.

            • I have been shooting 21-25 feet. Just at Stuff, not targets. Like frozen jugs with food dye, pigeons with strings tied and they hang from whatever.
              Just hitting stuff is fun.

Thanks big fella, appreciate it! I'm really looking foward to feeding another 100+ rounds through this gun and then carrying it.

                • What's so great about a Kahr pistol? Well... I bought a PM9(9094N). I did so despite a lot of Troll-like negative comments on the Internet. What sold me were two things. I rented one and found kahrtalk.com. The pistol's feel and trigger are fantastic. The wonderful people on this site are knowledgeable and generous with their experience. This has given me the confidence to turn this first-class pistol into a first-class CC. Don't be a quitter if issues arise and work through it. My only problem is what should I sell so that I can afford an MK9.

                        • Well, I chose the Kahr CM9 because I wanted a really small 9mm...just to upgrade from the LCP. Having read some prep about cleaning etc. I did that. First time shooting I could tell it was quality. But, had two slide lockbacks with round in the mag within the first 50 rounds. Upon examining the loaded mag inserted into the stipped gun frame, I could tell the bullet was hitting the slide stop. Long story short....I have been around the block a few times and know how to do a few things on my own. So, I judiciously filed the slide stop protrusion, sanded and polished it. Now....it is instant Kahrma over the next 18 mags of ammo including WWB HP. This thing is going to be great! Already have IWB, OWB and shoulder holster covered [from other guns] and have a pocket holster and two mags on the way.
Still getting used to the sights and trigger but that will come soon enough.
Kahr has got it right. This gun is at least as good as my clunky Glock which pulls home duty.
I'm a 1911 guy but simply can not pack one in all situations. Here is where a nice piece like the CM9 comes in!

I am a Kahr fan, plain and simple.

                          Will check back.

                          • nice job of trouble shooting the gun's issues to. Many would box it up and siendit back. Maybe an email to kahr stating what the gu is doing and how it is hitting the slide lock lever and maybe they will just send u replacement--for future use if needed.

Nice post and welcome to the forum, good guys here, a few assholes and before anyone beats me to it, U JUST MEET ONE.

I did rack the slide a few hundred times and clean and lube it before I took it out even tried limp wristing and shooting it up side down and could not induce malfunction

I have been looking at the Shield in addition to the CM9. Tell me, why did you get rid of the Shield?

                              • did not mean to get off topic [Good Kahr gun experience] with my last post. Anyway jocko yes, I have fooled with carry guns since 1990s and have learned a lot. I suspected that I could "tweak" the CM9 issue with little impact to the specs of the gun and, it worked well.
