I have used bike tubes for years. One tube makes a Lot of grips.

I've got a tube grip on a G19. Doesn't matter what it looks like cause the gun is ugly.

I might give the tire grip a try. I currently have the Hogue Jr and hate it. It's always twisting around.

I've got to admit, I did not coin that term. Came from another forum member but I disremember who.

Any way, if you put one on a Glock.........it's called a Glock Sock.

That's the way we pronounce it. But have to write it Tire for the yankees so that they don't get confused with tarr.

For us Yankees in the crowd this is invaluable:

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

I realize this thread is fairly old, but I just wanted to say I am new to the forum and was searching for ways to make my grip on my CW9 more comfortable. I found this thread and was skeptical of the inner tube trick, but I figured what the heck it is cheap and I will try it. I must say if you take your time, turn the inner tube inside out to hide the seams etc it really is a nice result. Thank you to the OP for the suggestion I really appreciate it.

                            Yep, inner tube works great.

Welcome to the forum and you'll find that there is a tremendous amount of good advice available here.

A little hair spray will fix that problem, CrabbyAzz. Now don't say I never did anything nice for you.

I really like my Hogue, it has the finger groove which gives me great purchase on the draw. Only downside is that it shifts slowly, so you have to move it back here and there. No biggie. I assume the bike tube does not move...
