  • Will cm9 fit detail molded kydex pm9 holster?

Hello, I recently purchased a Kahr cm9 for my bug/off duty summer gun. So far I love the gun. Had a stove pipe on the 2nd round, but after that the rest of the 200 round break went smoothly. I was wondering if anyone on here knew if the cm9 will fit a full detail molded kydex holster for the pm9? I want to give the Bravo Concealment d.o.s. holster a try, but wasn't sure if it would fit due to the fewer machining operations on the slide exterior. Even if it doesn't fit perfectly, can it be fixed with a hair dryer?

    PM9 holster for a CM(

I know that crossbreed holsters claim theirs do. Not sure about the brand your looking at. I know the folks at crossbreed are usually pretty dead nuts on!

Thanks for the advice. I have a crossbreed for it on the way and that's why I was thinking it would work. I just wasn't positive because the bravo holsters seemed a bit more form fitted due to it being a full kydex holster.

Kydex holster will fit fine. A molded plastic one like the Blade-Tech might not.

          Welcome to the forum!

But why not get a holster made specifically for your CM9? I highly recommend the PJ IWB Holster. The holster is tiny and thin, yet very stable. And it is so comfortable that I cannot feel it or the gun there at all, all day long. It holds the gun up against me so that it becomes a part of my body. The mass of the gun disappears because it cannot shift around when I move. Get the linked one with the over the belt clip and with an FBI cant. Believe me, you won't ever need any other waist holster for your CM9!

And welcome to the CM9 Owners Club! Our official symbol is the wide grin smily because we are so happy with our purchase that we can't wipe the smiles off our faces!

          Here is your club badge.
          Very interesting...

I respect Jfootin's opinion a ton, he for sure knows his stuff more than I do!, but I like how the crossbreed (mine is for CM9) has leather instead of kydex against your body, and after treating the leather it forms to the shape of your body. I don't see how you can get a narrower profile, even with Kydex against your body, and I really don't think thatd be as comfortable as leather formed to the shape of your body instead of kydex formed to the shape of the firearm. You can also easily adjust the cant of your gun to your liking with a screwdriver

But I do not own a PJ holster, and it looks very streamlined

Just my 2 cents. Please, take my advice with a grain of salt!
I've still got a lot to learn, but that's ok because if you know-it-all then there's nothing left to learn. (And there's plenty of those in the firearms world already, thankfully I have not seen one on this forum)

Thanks for the support, Path4! I don't own a crossbreed, but to me it seems like a whole lot of holster for such a small gun. I can certainly see it's benefit with a larger, heavier gun. But the CM9 is made to be concealed and I'll guarantee you that you won't find a closer riding holster than the PJ. Do you realize how thin one layer of the thin kydex that Paul uses is? A lot thinner than a leather panel.

As far as comfort goes, Paul has a real talent at shaping his holsters so that they are 110% comfortable. And it is no bigger than it has to be in any direction, so it and the gun just meld with your body. You just have to wear it to see what I mean. Really quite amazing!

The crossbreed is amazingly comfortable! It is built like a tank! They seem to have a great warranty too, so congrats on your purchase!

I may try PJ in the future as a grab and go type holster, but my Remoras are doing just fine for now.
