Why do Kahrs do that sometimes? I have a PM45 that will do that, sometimes it is the last round in the magazine (its not a "clip") and sometimes the middle round. I had the same issue with my MK9.

Help a brother out here guys, tell me what to fix.

I have shot twice, total of 300 rounds on my PM9. The mixture was FMJ 115 gr and 124 gr, and two mags of JHP 115 gr +P by MagTech.

I do not recall any ejected brass hitting me in the face.

That happened to me once using cheap ammo, but after the break in period (200) rounds, I started using the high qaulity ammo, No problrms since then.

That is the one and only negative I've had with mine. It still throws brass back at me. I've even had one bounce off my safety glasses and another go down my collar.

I'd think there's several causes to this, but I have to ask, was the gun dirty? I consider brass thrown in your face a liability and would contact Kahr to see if they consider this something they can fix. It's probably an extractor issue.

I just bought my first Kahr PM 45. Had a problem with the ejected casings coming right in my face partially due to the fact that I'm left handed. Called Clayton Covel and within 24 hrs it was back in your shop and the ejector was being customized by one of the techs. That is FANTASTIC customer service, and Clayton is a true asset to Kahr!!! Can't wait to get it back and start shooting again. JM

Never had it happen. Are you using full power ammo?

                  Love taps.

But seriously, have you cleaned the extractor?

I have not experienced this with my PM-9 or PM-40 but it has happened with my Para P10-45. I recently noticed how much more these small weapons recoil. It may be that the ejection port is pointed more at you than with a larger gun. I haven't verified it but it is possible.

I find this happens with my CW45 when I'm shooting the lighter powered rounds.
When I shoot the hot stuff it ejects it well away from me.
I can see where a "lefty" would have a problem though.
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

My new PM45 does it with WWB 230 and my PM9 has never done it.

That shell hit me between the eyes again.

I ran 70 rounds through my brand new PM45. First time shooting it. Had four to five casings hit my forehead or hair. Wonder if I need to contact Kahr about this.

I'd try putting a couple of hundred more rounds through it before I did anything else.
The gun will loosen up some after you shoot it some more
and the problem will probably go away.
                            Just my $.02.

I have 1600 rounds through my CW-40 and it still does it though not ALL the time. Doesn't seem to matter whether full power ammunition or light handloads.
