Gosh that Shield is tempting. But...to the origional poster. If you have to decide on just one, go with what you got. Point being, you can carry it year round in a variety of ways. Try a new holster or carry method. I have a CM9 and pocket carry, also IWB w/a PJ holster, and dress permitting use a pancake OWB. I love my G26 but it is a brick.

Sometimes on rare occasions I carry both my g23 iwb and a pm9 in the pocket. But since they are both on the same side the weight can be uncomfortable. Need a good belt.

For IWB carry, Glock 26 is the way to go. I carry a pm9 everyday, but I pocket carry it. That's the only niche that a Glock can't fill better than a Kahr. The Glocks are just too thick and too long. Any Compact or subcompact Glock would be excellent for IWB, and a far better shooter than a Kahr pm9.

I've owned and carried a Glock 19, 26, Springfield XD Subcompact 9, and now my CM9. For me, personally, the XD subcompact and G26 are great IWB weapons. In all honesty though, if you can carry a G26 and conceal it well, you should have no problems carrying the G19. The extra inch in barrel length is almost negligible because it is riding in your pants. The only real concern would be overall grip length and printing.

I found that I stopped carrying my G26/XD subcompact because I would rather have a bigger grip and more ammo capacity. The overall length of the G19 is equivalent to a G26/XD subcompact with a Pearce grip extension. That being said, I bought the CM9 expressly for pocket carry, which as others have said, the Glock 26 can't do well (not impossible).

In summer months, when I do not want to gear up with my Crossbreed supertuck, i think the CM will fit the bill nicely. I am still on the fence as to whether or not I will IWB the CM9.

+1 on the g26, i have the pm9, g26 and 2 g19s. all are keepers, but the one gun i would keep amongst those, if i had to give them up, would be my g26. it's the most versatile glock imho.

i say, keep the pm9 and save for a g26. the pm9 is undoubtedly easier to conceal than a g26/g19, so you may miss that aspect of the kahr. the g26 can be easily concealed and still accepts all size glock mags making it a very versatile choice.

If you can cary the G19 with no problems all day, then for sure, go with it. But I find there are many times when A larger frame pistol just won't do. My CM9 rides with me 99% of the time in pocket, or sometimes IWB. Wintertime, I sometimes strap on my G30.

All you need is the right holster for that PM9: the PJ IWB Holster. I carry my CM9 in one at 8:00 (I'm a lefty), which would be 4:00 for a righty. I tell you the truth; that super thin, 1 ounce holster is so comfortable that it and the gun disappear from my perception. All day long. I even took a nap one afternoon and forgot I had it on. Realized it when I got up. I have to reach back there and touch the gun to confirm it is there - no kidding!

That said, it is apples and oranges. The 19 will serve as a night stand gun with a tactical light mounted on it, a truck gun, an apocalypse gun, and still carriable at least in the cooler months with a good 2 clip IWB holster such as a Crossbreed. There is a very legitimate place for BOTH guns in your arsenal.

I agree, when I have my pm9 in my pj holster I am always reaching back there to confirm I still have it on. I have also fallen asleep watching tv and wake up and went looking for my pm9 and then realize I have it on me. The pj holster is amazing. No one will ever know you have it. I have the tuckable version and have tucked in a dress shirt to and no one knew it was there. Very versatile. When nothing else will do a pm or cm9 with a pj holster will. I wear it at 4

I don't really want a crossbreed for such a small gun...
I would suggest trying some different holsters before giving up on the Kahr. It sounds to me like that is the problem, not the gun.

Check the Kahr website. They list several pages of holsters for the PM9 by a number of different makers.

I agree with the apples to oranges comparison. When my attire will conceal it, I go with the G19 every time because of capacity. My Kahr CM9 probably sees more actual EDC time because I can just slip it in my pocket with any outfit and it conceals. Reliability, at least for me, has been close to equal. I would...and do...trust my life to either one.
