  • Shoulder Holster for CM9

Looking for some advice on a nice shoulder rig for my CM9 without breaking the bank. I have a OWB holster that I like(Desantis) and pocket holster from PJ holsters that fits as well as any pocket holster will for that size of gun. I am looking for another concealled carry method. Due to health issues I have I can not tolerate IWB holsters. I was thinking of getting a Fleece concealment jacket from woolrich but thought maybe a shoulder rig would be better and more versitle. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have the Galco Classic Lite Shoulder Holster for my Glock26 & love it. It is very comfy, with weight distributed very evenly. Easily concealed in the cooler months. This is not a heavy holster at all, and has easily adjusted shoulder straps to get the fit you want. Carrying a CM9 in one would be a breeze for comfort.

I have a Kangaroo Carry which I use with my CM9 occasionally. For "deep concealment", the Kangaroo Carry is an excellent option. But the key here is deep concealment. In order to access the pistol quickly, without ruining a shirt, I normally wear mine with a regular T-shirt underneath a Wrangler snap-button western style shirt.

Austin Davis is an extremely nice fellow, and I've communicated with him several times over the past couple of years. His videos are quite helpful in making the Kangaroo Carry work for you.

My CM9 rides under my left armpit, and the system holds the gun tightly against my body.

Were I in the market for a shoulder holster, the Galco Classic Lite system would be my choice.

I've used the first one shown on the attached for years. Hardly notice it. Have to check occasionally to see if I have it on. Would like to try the Kangaroo Carry Air Marshal .

I too, have this shoulder holster, and while it does indeed work, it is very deep concealment like Rio Vista Slim said about the Kangaroo Carry system. It takes some getting used to, having the band all the way around your body. I have found it to work ok, but still recommend the Galco Classic Lite system. As you reach into your shirt, the hand just fits to the grip wonderfully, allowing the thumb to break the retention snap and draw all in one motion. The thing I do like better on the Kangaroo style is that the weapon's muzzle is pointed down instead of behind you.
