  • What holster do you rock your Kahr CM/PM9?

I am trying to look for a good IWB Holster that I can conceal very deep. Right now I am using a uncle mikes pocket holster for IWB carry(kinda like remora holsters). I want the holster and gun to ride pretty darn low, I have been looking into PJ holsters, Foxx holsters, Remora holsters, and Crossbreed super tuck.
I love my crossbreed for my G19 and it is the best and most comfortable holster that I have ever used, but it seems like too much holster for the CM9. even the mini tuck looks big. I like to ride my guns very low with barely able to get a combat grip on the guns. Comfortable for me and practiced a lot to get a consistent draw on the gun.
The PJ holster and the Remora holsters seem like the final candidates. How low does the PJ holster ride? It seems like a lot of people love the PJ holsters on this forum.

Contact Paul at PJ Holsters and tell him what you want. He'll work with you for the ride height and cant that suits your carry style. I have 2 and one is set up to ride very deep.

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."
      --Thomas Jefferson (1764).

I tried several IWBs and still have 3. What I settled on and works well with my CM9 is a smartcarry. It allows me a tucked in shirt and no real bulge at all. I can carry a magazine as well. It goes in front over my shirt and under the belt buckle. Strange as it sounds it works well all day, sitting or moving. If you let the tail of the shirt cover the strap there is no riding up to show problem. It takes a somewhat loose pair of jeans, and a non snug belt. Pulling is easy and quick.

I have 4 holsters for my CM9: Remora, PJ, N82 Tactical, and Don Hume. Each one has it's positive and negative points. The one that I grab over and over again is the PJ (IWB with over-the-belt clip). It has the best combination of security, minimal bulk, comfort, right height, and simplicity. Well worth the cost and wait time.

I have the N82 tuckable version. It is for a 4" 1911, but I found everything
I have fits it well except a Glock 30sf. The CM9 fits even better than the 1911. Good products and good people.

PJ has been the best IWB for me. However I just received one from Performance Holsters & I think it is going to send the PJ to "the holster drawer".

i use uncle mikes #36 iwb holster (8936-2 LH) for my CM9, right in the center of my back this is where i always carry mine.
fits the holder like a glove & is very smooth inside & out, so you have no worries about showing wear on the gun or rubbing your skin to the point of irratation.
this is a clip on holder not a belt loop, so you can place anywhere in seconds.
was very fortunate to run across this @ a local gun show a few months back for $5.

Ride height comparo.. I luv my Mitch Rosen CLP.. judge for yourself.

If you want EVEN lower, I think Alessi used to have one that sits BELOW the belt line -- ont sure if they still make it, you can visit their web site for sure

                          BTW... if you didn't know:

That "BIG" clip on MitchRosen CLP let you carry without a belt... and you can even OWB that same little CLP on pants with 7 bet loops (Carhartt, Dickies.. etc..)

                          ... now you know :-)

I'm too old school.. I just prefer leather touching my skin....

My favorite holster for my PM9 is a blade-tec eclipse. It is OWB but it's easy to conceal, especially in the winter.
However, if it's summer time and I'm wearing shorts (even without a belt) and a tank top
I use a smart carry. You can adjust the carry depth and location of the gun just by adjusting the strap.
