Is it OK to use a small amount of grease on CM9 rails?

I put a light coating of grease on all my semi's rails. The Sig Lubrication guide shows them loaded with grease and they function fine in all weather conditions. Link is for Sig pistols. Looks like a lot to me but>>>>>>>>

I use Break Free CLP in a spray can and get it at Wal_mart. I use Gun Scrubber for areas I want to clean that I don't want oiled and are hard to get too, like the striker channel if I'm not breaking it down that far.

Some people swear by ballistol as well, but it's harder to find around here than the Break Free CLP.
