  • Recoil Spring for PM9 ???

    Hello,

I ordered a recoil spring for my PM9. The new spring has a larger
diameter head where it mates with the lug on the barrel than the old spring did.

I think Kahr has made some changes in the new barrel and recoil assembly

My question, will the new recoil spring assembly with the larger diameter flange/head work with the older/original style barrel?

    Some Clarifications:

    From where you bought it?
    Do you have it now?
    Did you contact Kahr?

A Conceal Carry Handgun Must Meet Four Conditions:
    1) It must be utterly reliable.
    2) It should be compact enough to be carried concealed for long periods of time.
    3) It should have a very simple operating drill.
    4) It should fire a cartridge of sufficient power.

have had an older PM9 to. the size you probalby have is 3/8" acrosss the new one wich has beenout a few years now measures 1/2". yes it will work perfectly. there are no more 3/8" lug recoil assemblys anymore. My PM9 is over 3 years old and it came with the 3/8" recoil assembly and never gave an issue ever, When I ordered a new set I got the 1/2" and it has been perfect also. Karh didn't make any real changes to the barrel, any PM9 barrel will accept the newer recoil assembly. Some have said in the lug area it is now machined flat, where as yours mich show a circular area where one might think the recoil assembly would set in, but either way it makes no difference.

Just go out and shoot it like u stole it. Nice gun..

believe it will work, as they don't make the 3/8" style recoil set ups any more. My PM9 originally had that smaller recoil assembly and I have been using the 1/2" new style for the past 2.5 years at least....

talked to Kahr tech today and indeed the 1/2" recoil assembly will work with any PM9 barrel. If u have the recoil assembly with the 3/8" diameter flange,(old style) and order new springs etc, you willge the upgrade 1/2" flange set up...
