Do you guys load the magazines to full capacity or load one less? I ask because of different issues i hear with the magazines.

load the magazine fully, why not, the issue u read are not IMO round related.
When ur readingof bustedfollowers, think about it, loading a 6 round mag with 5 or 4 or what ever that plastic follower is welldown inside the magazine tube and it is protected from getting bashed, so a full magazine is not gonna make a hill of beans difference. There are thousande sof cm9 out there today many hundreds of owners on this forum, who have no issues whart so ever. So load fully IMO.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

when I range shoot I hardly ever load fully, just because of what u stated. Why fight that last round just for range shootin. U can buy the uplula loadeer which makes it a breeze to load but I have one and hardly ever use it. I load fully for carry with one in the pipe. No so for just jacking around ... Five at a time on the range. Seven for serious social work. And don't leave home without it. The life you save may be your own.Never trust anyone who doesn't trust you to own a gun.

My thoughts, load 1 less until the gun is broken and all the springs are set. Why force in that last round and cause yourself untold misery with FTLs, broken followers, split mags and all the other problems it causes. Think of it this way, when you buy a new car the speodometer goes to 120 MPH, but doy drive that fast right from the dealership? No. The volume control on your new TV will turn up 3/4 turn. Do you set it for max just because you can? No. Why force in that final bullet if you know it can cause problems? Just load it down 1 and wait until it is fully broke in before you cram in the last round. Just because the book says it will hold more is not a reason to destroy it to prove you can.I have not yet been in a position where 1 more bullet would have saved my life. Have you?

Thanks for the info, so far i have about 300 rounds through my CM9 and no issues, i will usually fire a couple of mags through it when i go to my backwoods range, it is looking like it will become my summer carry sidearm but in coat weather my Glock 26 gets the nod.
I am really surprised at how well i can shoot the darn thing, yesterday i took my GP100 4"er, my SP101 and my CM9 and i shot the CM the best. IMHO Ruger builds "Tank" wheel guns but in their small semi's not so much, the CM series is what Ruger small Semi should be.....solid.

You could use the extended mag and load one less then you still have full capacity when you need it like this guy...

i keep all of my mags loaded to full capacity, even used mags that i've picked up along the way this is just a bonus when heading to the range.
you can load as many rds as you feel comfortable loading, myself i have no issues laoding that last bullet it's a single stack mag & makes it even easier.BOB

I load mine just as I carry it. 6 + one in the tube. I want to know for sure it is going to operate properly the way it is carried. Some times I practice a tactical reload with the 7 just to insure it works with one it the tube also. With the 7 though I expect to shoot the 6 to lock then load the 7. If you have an uplula it will help with any problems you may have loading the mag to full capacity. JMHO, and YMMV.It's the stakes, not the odds.

I guess some of you guys just fill your gas tanks to the 3/4 mark or so... wouldn't want to stress it's capacity, eh?
