I thought about an Uncle Mikes with a belt clip and then cut off the clip part. I think it was $10.Originally posted by Hunter991 View PostI am looking for a slim pocket holster for my CM9. I don't want something too thick just like a cheap uncle mikes or something. Can any one suggest something? will be using this with cargo shorts etc...
i have a remora but its way too thick.
The wife has one for hers and I wanted to get one like it because it's so thin but Walmart hasn't had one lately. Maybe I'll just take hers.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I can't remember what the James Dean cost me. I am guessing about $50. I would go horsehide, as it is thinner. Get one with a hook and make sure it has a thumb push off to help get the draw started. Unless you bet very lucky, a cheap holster will come out with your gun on the drawstroke. Whatever you do, Practice, and when you are good, practice again, repeat frequently. I know nothing of the Kydex pocket holsters but they make me nervous because they are very rigid. My Mika for a snubbie works but it is bulky for me. A high quality leather one costs more but works every time and I can wear it with lightweight wool dress pants without printing. A $600 PM nine pointed at a bad guy with the holster still on, it is not the way I want to go."Never pet a burning dog"

I carry my PM9 in a modified by me Alabama Kydex holster. I'm very pleased with the holster and should it mean anything to you it is a favorite of Hicok45.
I'm assuming front pocket carry but Alabama also makes a back pocket holster.

Yup
nice holster IMO. It carrys my PMJ9 24-7. sometimes cheap does not mean CHEAP.Originally posted by JFootin View PostI have an Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster that carries my CM9 well. Didn't have to cut any clip off of it.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I have both the Stays-Put and a PJ Holster pocket holster for my CM9. The PJ is thinner and prints less. It doesn't grab the inside of the pocket as well but it has a thumb break that you use to release the gun from the holster. The Stays-Put doubles as a clipless IWB holster and works very well for me in that role but for pocket carry I'd rather use the PJ because it prints less.
But honestly, unless most your time is spent on your feet, pocket carrying a PM/CM9 is not ideal. I'm a big guy (6'1", 275) with big pockets and its very noticeable in my front pocket while sitting, but isn't while standing. Granted it looks like a wallet while sitting but I still don't like it much.”Those who give up their liberty for more security neither deserve liberty nor security.”

Desantis SuperFly is the best! Has a removable flap you can use or not depending on need.

Old thread. I was going to say to simply make a pocket holster out of thin leather and put on a flap so it don't print in your pocket. That Desantis superfly looks like it would be comfortable too. I'll need to look into that for my wife's 380.My Sword - PM4044N/CTL/Talons
