Which one should I buy to use for gun parts like the front sight.
I use either of these for screws/nuts/bolts that I don't want coming apart:
Loctite Threadlocker Red 271 or Permatex 27100 High Strength Threadlocker Red.
For the Dawson sight you might also consider Loctite 638

    Greg

BTW, I posted this in another thread recently, but you might find it of interest:
    "
    I'd advise:
Putting tape on the slide (to protect it) before removing the OEM front sight.
Place a piece of paper/tape or non-marring tool over the sight before tapping it in place.
Place the sight down on a solid, non-marring surface (not a table mat) to do the flaring.
    Use a hammer."

Dawson Precision recommends and sells Loctite 620 for installing their front sights. It's priced at $3.95 and you will find it here.

Fiber optic sights work great if

the manufacturer you want makes them for your model and caliber gun! FYI, the fiber optic tubes are easier to accidentally break than you might think! Not sure if TruGlo makes model for your particular gun; but their combo fiber optic/tritium night sights are "buried" in steel assembly; but plenty of light gathered from top, front and rear! I've always been a fan of Trijicon and Meprolite night sights; but TruGlo "combo" above is far superior for both daylight (sight really bright from light) that doesn't apply to tritium and low light, TruGlo's are superior, too! As sights replaced on Sigs & Glocksnly the TruGlo's will go on!

I have truglos on my 1911 and they are the best of both worlds inmho. I have the front and rear fo sights offered by Kahr's shop. I think they are Williams and I had Kahr install. They did a great job and fast turnaround

Looked at the TruGlo site and can't find anything related to Kahr (CM9). Am I missing something or I guess I could just contact them for Kahr availability. I like them and am thinking of replacing at least my front site in the near future with aftermarket choice. It looks like a good variety of stores handle them. I could check next time I'm at Cabala's but wonder if someone knows an approx. price.
              cm9 and lovin it.

I just ordered from Dawson Precision their fibre optic front sight. I called first, and was told to order it even though their site says "out of stock" . Man I spoke to said they make them up quick and have them out in a week.
