  • CM9 carry/defense ammo

What kind of ammo do folks like to use?I want to start buying some but it is too expensive to be blasting away at the range. So what kinds of ammo work really well in the CM9?I know that when I took mine to the range it had a little trouble swallowing a 147 grain HP at first. The last magazine I fired were all 147 HP's and it gobbled them up just fine.I'm guessing all the FMJ's I fired broke the pistol in a bit?

Everyone has their own preference. For personal defense, I use Cor-Bon +P 115 gr. JHP. My PM9 works great with them. I'm sure they would work just as well in your CM9.

I really like the Speer gold dots the best, either in 124 or 147. I like the regular or short barrell +p

I have used all brands of bulk ammo in my PM9, without any problems. But, in this market, you don't have much choice. If the price is reasonable, buy it. Your CM9 will probably feed it.

If the price is inflated, send the scalpers a message by leaving it on the shelf. I'd rather shoot my laser trainer than be raped by unscrupulous gougers.

It is probably a sin to some here, but I am using FMJ rounds. They go through 1X6 oak boards real easy.

Hornady Critical Duty 135 gr. +P
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

GONNA TELLU UP FRONT,WHEN u shoot that bad guy with those fmj bullets and the damn bullet goes through him like melted butter and I sitting on my back porch drinkin a cool one two blocks away, and that bullet goes through my cool one can, I am gonna be PISSED.

That being said, if ur shooting a fokking 45, then I will only be half pissed as it would maybe dent my cool one can and nutting more and not ruin my resting time.. Just sayin

. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

When I travel to NJ where HPs are not allowed, Hornady Critical Duty 135 gr. +P loading.

In my pm9..Hornady Critical Defense 115 grain. Feeds flawlessly and is accurate. Recoil feels pretty much the same as what I practice with so no surprises if/when I might have to use it.
