  • New CM9

I just picked up a CM9 2 nights ago and shot it yesterday.

She ran FLAWLESSLY!! 125 rounds of UMC 115g FMJ. Fast, slow and all fire rates in between. Here are some targets from 21feet and 30+feet. The one with fewer holes was 21 obviously. I can't say enough good stuff about this awesome pocket 9mm.

Congrats on the new CM. I've only had mine a few weeks and have put a mixed bag of ammo through it. 300 rounds in all and flawless so far. I love the gun and I'm sure you will too.

Those look almost identical to my targets with my CM9. I wonder if there is something about someone new to a Kahr that makes pulling to the left normal at first?

It could need the sights adjusted. Try bench-resting the gun to see if it's still grouping left. If so, tap that rear sight to the right a bit. You'll be ringing up bullseyes after that! I had to do that to the last couple guns I bought. My sig rcs 1911 was shooting to the right and my Springfield XD-s was shooting to the left. I verified this by bench-resting, then adjusted the rear sights and they're both dead on now. It always helps to take a measurement with a depth gauge first to get your starting point.

I bet he is a right hand shooter, so typical of those withy kahrs loooooong trigger.. I think beforeI would move anything, I would throw some sanp caps in loose withsome rounds and let someone load the mags for u. This will tellu first hand if your anticipating the BANG thing, which will certainly show why ur groups are left or right.

course that being said if u stay consistent with the anticiaption thing and don't correct it, then a movement of the rear sight will be necessary...

            New CM9

I really like mine about 200 rounds functioned flawlessly, but I tend to shoot to the left of center also?

I bein a left shoot to the right and low, seems anything above center and left is safe as a condom still in the wrapper. Just sayin.

I shot my CM9 low and too the left also. Was going to have my sights adjusted but decided to give it a while. Glad I did. Once I figured out it was me and not the gun it has been very accurate. Took a while.

Well, given that you screenname is "Deadeye" ... I guess that pretty much settles it then ... I'll wait a while.

I kinda believe screen names can be more for what we'd like to be than what we really is. I just meant the gun is more accurate than I am!

i have had my cm9 for about a year now. it is my carry pistol. it usually has a lot of lint in it. it always fires. i have read about others having issues with their cm9. i have had none. it is smaller, has better sights (i put the tritium front sight on) and holds more ammo than the snubbie it replaced. i didn't sell the snubbie since i have a soft spot for s&w revolvers but imho the cm9 is a vastly superior carry gun. i hope you like your new gun as much as i like mine.

nice report, sometimes when we readof a shooter having issues, we have to try to decide if it is indeed the gun or maybe the shooter jut not used tothe gun yet. Kahrs do need those 200 rounds to get some of the little gremlins out of it, Most do not. Sometimes we just don't ive the gun and shooter a chance to mate up properly and then confidence goes "south". IMO the cm9 is probably the most out of the box trouble free kahr in their line up. Just my 21 cents.

I believe its me. The trigger pull is long so I know I'm pulling it down a tad. I've only shot it once. More trigger time will fix my little issue. Thanks for responding guys.

I have had my CM9 since Thanksgiving. I usually shoot once a week (50-100 rds). I shot left and low until I got used to the Kahr trigger. I also had to get used to the sight picture (different than most of the other pistols I have shot) - I either need to cover the bulls-eye with the the dot or have the dot in line with the top of the rear site. This last option has worked well for me and I am now used to it. One thing I have noticed, if I shoot my 1911 in the same session as the Kahr - I do not do well with the 2nd pistol I am shooting. I am now to the point of using the range time with just one pistol as a time. Anyone else encounter this?

And for the record - zero issues with my CM9. Flawless! It is my daily carry gun.

Good to hear all the positive reports on the CM9.
I keep thinking I need one.
But I've got two J-Frames and a Kahr MK40 Elite.
                              So it's hard to justify.

Not that I really need to justify any new handgun - LOL!
I've just been spending a King's ransom on ammo lately.
I seem obsessed with looking for deals and scooping them up when found.
Pretty much topped off all my ammo cans now...
