  • CM 40 coming in next week

So, couldn't see spending the extra money for the PM 40 ...good choice or bad? Really only want to hear from PM 40 or CM 40 owners... owned most all the other Kahrs at some point or the other.....safe shooting!

    It works.
    The gun owner shoots low.

I've had the PM40 (amongst others) and have a CM40. The CM40 is the better choice I think, the price difference is large and there's very little difference. There are things I like better about the CM version, mainly price and the more traditional rifling it uses. My CM40 is very accurate.

Love my CM40... good choice, in my opinion.

My CM40 has been great. My favorite gun! I expect you'll feel the same about yours in no time.

It astonishes me that anybody would want a CM40.
I found the Glock 27 to be overkill in recoil (with flat baseplate)
Finally, I found the M&P40c and it's been love.
That's the smallest I'll go for pistol in .40S&W
Of course the M&P was designed FOR that cartridge and subsequently handles it quite well.
I would think the the CM40 would be like trying to shoot a hand grenade.

I've never shot a Glock 27, but I have a Glock 23. Honestly, the recoil on my CM40 seems about the same as the 23... I'm also more accurate with the CM40, and my hand is not as sore after shooting a box or two as it is with the 23.

astonishs me that anyone would want a 40. but what do I know. My middle nale is "nine" even. Gock 23 I aqm not callin u out either but wow, either u got a piss poor G23 for accuracy, or ur a piss poor shot or sumpin for Glocks trigger system is so much shorter and nicer from the accuracy standpoint. I can at7 yards shoot um in the same hole with my tuned G19 and I can tellu same hole accuracy wity my PMJ9 at 7 yards would have to be a 3" hole at best. a 40 kahr is a hand cannon, . oh well , just my jealously I guess for not being able to hit jack sh!t with my kahrs... I always felt it wa snever my guns but the shooter butr when I take my G19 and any of my kahrs tothe range, that6 theory goes right out the window. I shoot my G19 extremely well and I shoot any of my 3 kahrs extremely poor, at the same distance.I can't imagine how badI wo7uld be withg a 40 kahr hand cannon. Just sayin

u guys that shoot kahr 40's and especially the cm or Pm line well, my hat is off to u all.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I own and shoot alot of small guns and carry the XDS 45 mostly. Maybe I'm better in the strength department as recoil doesn't seem to ever be an issue or is accuracy. The day I got my XDS i put 300 rounds through it, 250rds through my diamondback 380, 300 rds through my CM9, 230 rds through my cw45 and on and on. Maybe time to hit the gym or check your shooting techniques? just saying.......safe shooting!

I'm going to start using that hand squeezer thing so I can be like those guys who when they shake your hand, they try to crush your hand just to show how bad and macho they are.
I'll still stick with 9mm in the Kahr CM line though. Overwhelming majority of gunshot victims are in the ground because of 9mm.

astonishes me that anyone would want a 40. but what do I know.
I like the .40 S&W for the heavier bullets that I use in my G27 when I carry it, Winchester 180 gr. Bonded PDX1.
I like having 10+1 rds. in my G27 instead of 6+1 rds. that I have in my PM9.

The Winchester 180 gr. PDX1 delivers 420 ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle. 396 @ 25 yds., more than the Speer 124 gr. +P GDHP does at the muzzle!!!
The Speer 124 gr. +P GDHP SB load delivers 364 ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle.

That's why I want a .40 S&W when I feel the need for the extra power.

I'm not knocking my PM9 or the load that I carry but my G27 in .40 S&W does it better.

What's the muzzle energy of the Federal HST 147gr+P?
I'd like to know as it's my 9mm carry load.
                        Thank you.

Actually, I hate the trigger on my Glock. Now, I do have the gen4, and I've seen talk that they added a "nub" to the trigger bar that actually increased the pull weight. For me, I don't like that it's got a definite staging point... where the trigger almost stops, and you have to increase your pressure to get past that point and fire.

If my Glock had a Kahr trigger, I'm sure I'd shoot it better.

                            I have no clue.
I only keep tract of the ammo that I use personally.
FWIW, the Winchester Bonded 147 gr. PDX1 delivers 326 ft. lbs. of energy @ the muzzle and 311 @ 25 yds.
Still much lower than the .40 S&W load.
