  • Holster help

I am looking for another holster. I currently use my PJ Holster which is great but KYDEX in general doesn't always feel good against the skin so to speak. I usually always wear IWB, with cargo shorts and a tshirt or golf shirt. Usually I have to have a tshirt under a shirt to get double thickness as not to print. this means I can't tuck one of them in.

So starts my quest for leather. I have a leather holster for my XDS that feels way better. I also have a nate 2squared holster which I thought would be good but its just too thick. I carry at 4 o'clock.

Can anyone suggest a THIN quality leather holster made for the CM9? IWB, forward cant. Does it even exist?

The Holster store has a number of options you might find interesting. If your looking for a thin holster, you might want to concentrate on alligator. Most of their holsters have the option of a Cant, Crimson Trace, and/or slide guard.

It might not look all that comfortable but I have found the Don Hume H715-MWC surprisingly comfortable and versatile. I can also, when driving, change to Appendix location easily.

I did not see many IWB holsters I liked as they usually ended up being much too bulky for the smaller arms like the cm9. So I made up a horsehide leather backed kydex hybrid holster for my cm9 and cw9. It is very thin (5/64-7/64 thick, think two dimes stacked) and super light with holes for some cant adjustment.

I've just purchased on OWB concealed carry holster that looks like you've got an iPad on your belt. I know it's not IWB, but no one has any idea you've got a weapon. It's called a Sneaky Pete. www.sneakypeteholsters.com is the web address.

Maybe an odd option, but you may try covering the side of the PJ's holster that touches your skin with a very thin piece of leather. Make a temporary template and if it works, if so, some contact cement should work for a permanent fix.

The model that everyone raves about lately is The N82tactical.com
Professional gives you kydex the tuck able and original do not but they are more multi fit options.

I have the N82 tuckable IWB and it is, by far, the most comfortable holster I have ever used. Wear with light clothing, dress clothing, whatever...you don't even know you've got it (and the CM9) on.

Just my $.02 but, hey...works for me.

I gotta chime in with Remora (my preference) and/or StickyHolster (others here swear by them). Remora has added a leather lined version that is suppose to be a good bit thinner than their regular version. I have the RFT (reinforced version) because of my desire to be able to reholster easily, and that makes it a bit thicker. But none of them are anywhere NEAR as thick as kydex.

Just my 2 cents. If you haven't considered one, they are cheap to try and by all accounts both companies are great to deal with even if you end up returning it b/c it doesn't work for you. At $25-$35, kinda a no-brainer to at least try one.

Your PJ Holster can be worn between your belt and your pants as an OWB holster. Since you already have the PJ try it; that way it will not be against your body. I often wear my CM9 like that especially when wearing a loose shirt. You'll be amazed!

I bought the tuckable IWB from The Holster store too, but through Ebay.
$29 with free shipping. Suede outer, fairly easy to re-holster.
I can put this one on with my CM9 w/CT laserguard and easily forget it's there.

Hello! I know exactly what you mean. I make holsters. both leather and kydex. the leather is more comfortable. I've tried both. here is an older model of one I made. I'll try and snap some new pics.
