Kahr- how can I help you?
me- I just bought my gun and its seems to be jamming with every shot
    Karh- whats your serial number?
    me- (gives serial number)
Karh- you have a bad extract, whats your address?
    Me- (gives address)
Kahr- ok the return label has been sent yada yada please mail it in and we will take care of it yada yada
    me... thanks...
    end

So im not saying it was bad but it was super short.. and it seems either this gun has a recall im not aware of or they know about this issue because he knew what it was just by the serial. That bothers me a little, but hey if they fix it ill be happy... I REALLY want to like this gun!!!

Also anyone know if it ok for me to mail my gun from my own place or do I need to take it to a dealer? I live in Florida of course.
It's probably just me but I like short, to the point, I'll take care of it. "Hello, what's your serial number, it's an extractor, we're sending you a label, we'll fix it."

As soon as you said it was leaving the case in the chamber that say's extractor. I bet they know they had a few bad extractors or springs so they'll take care of it.

Hang in there. They'll fix it and YOU WILL love that gun. I love mine.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

If you have not sent it off yet try that one brand of ammo you have doing a "plunk test" . If the round drops in cleanly and out and is below the longest point of the chamber at least it should work. Lots of bad ammo for many companys from time to time. Also not meaning to pick but 18 years shooting a large heavy weight pistol mean little with these fly weights except that you know the basics. Hang in there kahr or the guys here will get you squared away. Plus some times a new kahr cm9 with 115gr ammo at time does not cycle the slide strongly enough to function . Bumps up to a box of 124gr and then the 115gr will most likely run well.

Never about how when you tell a person to hold on tightly what that really is. My daughter told me whats tight. Pretend its a rattler or copper head your holding on to behind the head. That's how tight to hold these small +P rated pistols.

I sent mine back from Fed Ex store. Got back in three weeks. Has been flawless for over a year. It is my EDC. Accurate with a smooth trigger. Best regards.

I'll have to side with gunman here.
There's a customer service rep with a British accent who presents an attitude that you caught him in the middle of doing something far more important to him than answering your insignificant phone call.

              Exactly!!!
He was my first phone experience with Kahr CS back in 2011 when my PM9 was new and two mags split during the first range session.
He, his attitude and his accent suck! He has about as much personality as a friggin' door knob.

It would be nice to hear "I am sorry to hear about your bad experience with our product" or something like that. Yes they will make it right, but their product not functioning as it should still caused lost time, enjoyment, and some faith in the product.

Personally, not looking to make a new best friend or anything when I deal with a customer service representative. However, I do expect good customer service regardless if it's Kahr or the Mellow Mushroom down the road for some pizza and beer.

Look, we all work hard for what we bring home and we pay quite a bit for products and services that we decide we want. There will always be issues that arise when doing so...maybe it's a supply issue, quality control issue or maybe even a shipping issue they might have with a contractor to get us our products we paid for. Fair enough. Some of these things can be out of the control of the product or service provider. But the single one thing that is completely under their control is good, solid customer service. Don't sit there and talk to me like I want to be your buddy, but show some professionalism, some courtesy, and some concern that I just paid a lot for a product that doesn't work. Put yourself in the shoes of the customer. Hell, if this customer service representative just bought something himself that cost a lot of money and didn't work how would he want to be treated? Not like he's a pain in the ass for calling because something he just paid a lot for doesn't work as it should.

Mistakes happen, some things are out of our control...but good customer service should never be if you want to stay in business.

Taking this in a different, more positive direction, Jay was a joy to deal with.
His handling of customer issues was fantastic...anytime I dealt with him, I felt like he cared if my pistol was running 100%.
Maybe that's the reason they moved him out of CS!!!

I also remind myself that they get calls and contacts all day long. Like a tape on a continuous loop.

I'm sure a fair amount of callers are irate, disrespectful and demanding. I imagine they ride for the brand and naturally want to defend the brand. This is good but it's also bad.

A caller gets them stirred up and that can easily ride over into the next call. Perhaps sometimes they are just super busy and trying to get something done and it just dont happen.

This is NO EXCUSE for poor or impolite customer service. I'd want all my people trying to make every caller their new best friend. I'd like to see them call and see how things are working after the fact, a little followup but I dont see that happening.
Only time I ever seen that is with my horse vet after a house call the following day. I never got a call when they messed around with my brain.

You have to realize, that if you were dealing with a Brit..............they have about as much sense of humor as a cheese sandwich.

Oh, that's a horse of a different color. Those Brits haven't gotten over the ass whoopin we gave em back in 1776. They do tend to get a bit rude at times. Next time you call tell 'em muggsy sent ya. That'll smooth things over.
