  • Trigger bar catch

I am having some issues with the trigger bar and trigger spring in my CM9.

I will start off by saying I have about 300 rounds through it so far, and all is well. I pull the trigger and it goes bang. Couldn't be happier.

I was doing some dry fire practice and was looking at the trigger internals because I noticed a "hitch" in my trigger pull.

After further inspection, it appears that the trigger bar spring is catching on the trigger bar at the start of the trigger pull. It has not affected reliability at all, it is just adding a little unwanted grit/click at the beginning of my trigger pull.

Is this normal? Anybody else experienced something similar? Does the trigger bar need to be filed down a bit or polished so the spring can clear it?

This question has been posed before, do a search for "squeaky trigger"

You can remove the spring and try to clean up the bar a bit. I don't think that you can hurt anything by trying.

Steve, the trigger return spring and trigger bar spring are two different animals.

My PM9 and CW9 both had that same problem. I took the side plate off, removed the spring and polished the entire bar/spring contact area smooth and reassembled. Fixed the problem on both.

What do you use to polish something like that?

600-800 grip sand paper. will do it in nuttin flat..Tke the fiber finger nail file and wrap soe 600-800 grip paper around it andu can gett o the bar easy.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Oh.. You think I can polish it up without taking the frame apart?

The T.B. Spring and contact point is just under the access panel on the upper right hand grip. You will need a #6 Torx driver to remove the small screw holding it on. The spring is easily removable at that point.
