what Rubb says is right. If it is right now, that is allyou can hope for. for no gun made can guarantee u the next trigger pull will not produce a CLICK. U live life to the fullest and accept what is. Just sayin
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

My CM9 arrived with a broken follower - a piece was knocked out of the front of it. So in a way it has been modified. There is a good amount of space where the hole is - it's not like the ramp is going to contact the spring.

So in a way, my follower has been modified.

I have put 100 rounds through it with no failure to feed, no FTE, or anything. The slide didn't lock back on an empty mag, but I think my thumb was pushing down on the slide stop lever.

When I get my new follower I'll put some paint on it to see if it is getting wacked. I'd rather cut away the follower than send it back to Kahr.

          Kahr poor machining/ Q.C.

I bought a CW45 a few months ago. The pistol is very accurate and the size weight is right. It would just continually FTF.

I did the break as recommended, 200 rounds and on up to about 400 rounds with FTF on nearly every magazine.

I fired another couple hundred rounds with the same problem. I then changed the recoil spring to no avail. I polished the ramp and chamber....no help. I tried numerous brands and types of ammo, all told, about 700 rounds.

I called Kahr and they told me to send it in FedEx over night. That cost me $74.00. After 3 weeks the pistol came back with the note: Action Taken: JW REWORKED SLIDE LUBED AND TESTED GOOD.

I emailed Kahr and asked them exactly what they did to my pistol. The said the stripper lug was too large and they beveled the end of it. Sure enough, they beveled off about 1/16 of an inch at about a 45 degree angle at the end of the lug.

The pistol so far after the repair has functioned perfectly with several types and brands of ammo (200 rounds total, WWB, Remington ball ammo, Blazzer, Fiocchi, Winchester ranger t-series, Remington economy type JHP and PMC 185 gn JHP).

The problem is, I spent as much money trying to get this pistol to work as I paid for it in the first place. This is unacceptable. Kahr needs to give a crap about their reputation and customer service. My pistol should have never left the factory as it was. They also should have at the very least apologized for all my time, effort and expense for a gun they f-cked up. It would have been good for them to have paid for my shipping too.

It will be awhile (if ever) that I can trust this pistol to be a carry gun. While its working good now, I just don't have the confidence in it. I will Carry my Glock even though it is a little bigger.

I won't buy another Kahr just because of the shity, lackadaisical attitude in the manufacturing and the customer service.

The Gun smith did a great job on the repair though.

Sometimes things just don't work right out of the box. I have had a bodyguard 380 have the laser screw back out and lock up the side. They fixed it

I had a Remington 660 that could fire if you could lock the chamber with too much force and was recalled

I have had a xds recalled and take over 2 months to get it back

I have had the most problems with glocks. My gen 4 kept throwing brass in my face on 2 guns. A 19 and 23 they never fixed it right do I sold them off. It had stove pipe issues in the 23

I am not a Kahr apologist. It should work. But it's a mechanical device and sometimes they don't.

I don't see why kahr seems to always seems to get singled out. They are really well made pistols. They are small and the recoil spring needs to be broken in with 200 rounds. Don't people test firearms that way anyhow? I do. I run a few hundred rounds through them all to just get the feel of it.

MattG, I remember sending in a Taurus (with a 'lifetime' guarantee) back. They wanted me to send it in overnight. I choked at the price and sent it regular. After 6 weeks I got it back and it didn't get fixed.

I traded on a used Kahr.

Just because they say that you have to send it a certain way, it is still your nickel.
