    ...as promised: "mine runs fine."

CM45 first 50 rounds, Blazer Brass 230gr FMJ
    1. Went through the prep steps diligently. The Kahr came pretty clean but was dry in all the wrong places.
    2. round one = just one, slingshotted (because I'm a daredevil) and shot just fine.
    3. rounds 2 and 3 = used slide lock lever and shot fine
    4. rounds 4, 5 and 6 = failed to feed for some reason. Emptied mag and reloaded the same 3 rounds and shot fine.
    5. rounds 7, 8, 9 and 10 = all ran fine
    6. rounds 11-50 = ran perfect
    7. a couple of late rounds hit me in the head but it was really cold and I attribute that to my error/grip.
    8. cases look good -- light dimple at the mouth and light scratch --- as normal.
    9. broke her down and all looks good inside --- no gouges or plastic shavings. I admit I greased up the plastic rails real good in hopes to keep them clean. Seems to be working.

This thing is a blast to shoot. A little of a handful even compared to my .40's which are all heavier guns.

I think I finally get it. Light is good. I really don't mind waist carrying my stainless guns but this thing is like wearing nothing.

Best of luck everyone. Hope yours runs fine too!

Apologies: real bad pic this time -- it's friggin cold out there

Hmmm, look at this pumpkin and tell me what you see, a variation of the ink blot test.

For me I see a large fellow with a big fist beating down on someone lying on the ground.

        I see it too!!!
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

You must have gotten one of those extremely rare Kahr pistols that works well right out of the box. I was unfortunate, too. It leaves us with very little to complain about. Well, we'll just have to learn to live with it I guess.

Like timboy says...it's not like I depend my life on it. That's a compliment timboy...you are wise.

I'm thinking I might like to purchase one of these guns that just doesn't run right from somebody, and see how it works for me. Just for science ya know!

I see Trey Gowdy punching Harry Reid.

My CM45 had a few failures in the first 50 rounds, just a couple in the 2nd 50, and ran great the 3rd 50. I am sure glad the recoil spring loosened up a bit. That thing was a monster to pull the slide back to where it would lock open before it was fired.

I stripped it for another inspection and a thorough cleaning today. Again, I really didn't see any plastic shavings or damage inside. Any that I did cleaned up with my thumbnail. I'm pretty anal and that was my worst fear: that it would get all chewed up inside. Not that that would impair function...it would just bug me. I did notice something in that vein worth mentioning: it is real easy to get the slide out of square with the frame when you are removing or installing it. I wonder if that's the source of some of the gouges we've seen?

I never realized Toto looks just like a guy punching someone on the ground before!

BTW, I really would like to purchase a CM9 or CW9 with "failure to" feed, fire, lock back, etc issues. I want to run experiments but all the Kahrs I know of, either mine or friends, all run great. I would love to get one deemed unreliable and see how to fix it.
