  • Cm45 compared to M&P shield

Anyone have both of these pistols. How do they compare in regards to size/weight?

    Thanks

Do they make a Shield in .45? My BIL has a M&P .45 compact, double-stack, and it's huge compared to a CM45. But a good shooter FWIW. I can't post side-by-sides but you can probably get the dimensions off the websites.

No. They don't have a .45 shield just the 9/40. Was curious if anyone here has both and if they consider one easier to conceal.

The 9 and 40 fit in the same holsters.

Side by side they look identical with the 9 holding one more round.

just picked up my Shield 40 today & compared it with my CM45, CM45 is 1/8in taller in the grip with each gun having so called flush mags installed.
as for the barrel length there indentical, the CM is barely noticably heavier thicker slide is the weight difference.
if your concerned about a difference in concealing don't, you'll never notice so buy either with confidence.
CM45 shoots like a dream i was concerned about selling my CW45 to get the CM, because of the smooth trigger & accuracy but that all changed the 1rst trip to the range 2 weeks ago.
have'nt shot the shield yet so i can't help you there, but the guy i bought it from said it's a great shooter of course he's not going to say anything but that.

Excellent. That's exactly what I was looking for. I have the Shield in 9mm and it is great. I've always wanted the .45 and really like the Kahr lineup. Knowing that I can conceal the CM.45 helps a lot.

ok just came back from the range with CM45 & Shield40, still putting break in rds through the CM & testing the Shield.
i still LOVE the CM45 but the Shield sure did peek my interest, very very accurate i'm above pleased with how accurate it is.
there is a bit more kick from the Shield 40 over the CM45.
as for loaded weight differences sure there is a tad more on the 45 but you'll never notice the difference, i can't express the look on my face after seeing the group @ 15 & 20ft with both pieces.
so by all meens don't hesitate to buy either or, hell get both there small.
