  • How accurate are you with your CM45?

I picked up a new CM45 on Friday and spent some time with it in the backyard today. I put 150 rounds of the dirtiest, nastiest, steel cased crap I could find through the little beast without a single failure: everything is breaking in nicely and smoothing out.

I shot the gun with my USP 45 which pretty much makes one jagged hole at any distance. Obviously, I couldn't expect to do the same with the CM45 but would like to know what you guys are getting at say, 20'? I found that I did good to keep a 6"-7" group with any given mag.

Regardless, the bad guy would be dead but I wouldn't want to take a precision "hostage shot" with it at this point (you know, because that happens a lot around here). Still, I put my J-Frame to shame with this gun so I've got that going for me, and that's a good thing.

I'm happy with the gun but would love to hear how you guys are with yours.

..... I carry a small gun to compensate for my huge pecker.

You and your CM45 will bond in no time I bet, I know mine has become my favorite Kahr of my collection of four.

In all fairness, given the same distance and plate. Both of us killed the **** out of that ninja plate

My CM45 shoots 2" groups at 21' and 6" group at 50' with 2-handed slow fire. Add 1-2" to each for one-handed shooting. It's a great gun and ditto, my favorite handgun in the collection at the moment.

Yep, I started breaking my CM45 in and it just kinda moved into the lead carry role. Heck of a lot of firepower in such a small and light package. I'm not too accurate with it...been spending my time getting break-in rounds through it so a lot of fast SD fire practice...so that's my excuse. Here's the results from the first 50rds. Bad pumpkin!

I shoot about a 4" group at 7 yards, just aiming for center of mass on a standard B-27 silhouette target. usually most inside the 8 ring, with one or 2 in the 7 when shooting 2 or 3 mags at a time. And not trying to be as accurate as possible, but to get the lead downrange as quick as I the range allows, 1 shot per second. I'm very pleased with the accuracy, and know I could slow down and make smaller groups if I wanted. But I'm not practicing target shooting, I'm practicing throwing lead at a bad guy. In real life you want the wounds to be spread out some, giving more chances to hit a vital organ or major artery. This is NOT the gun I would use to take a head shot of a BG holding a hostage. I doubt I'd take that shot with any of my pistols. I'll leave that to someone younger, with better eyes and can keep a steadier bead on the target than I can.

so far so good from above statements & yep another one on its way, fairly tight at 15ft for me & very pleased with the out of box experience.
its definetly a nice tight eye catcher with firm fit in the hand, compared to my CM9 it feels more like a comforting carry piece.
once i squeeze a few more hassle free rds into her, she'll move her way right up the ladder to being the teachers pet.

I plan on it. I'm going to clean it up a bit where I took some material off at the peaks.

I shot another box thru today. Just to make sure a spare 1911 mag runs Ok. It appears I'm more accurate than patient I started out in the 9 ring but quickly started shooting faster and broadening my horizons.

I tried 4 different brands of 1911 mags and none of them worked without rubbing the slide. Some even refused to seat at all. The extra metal in front of the lips would hit. I removed the peak and it seated and fed perfectly with no rub.
