  • I thought I'd change my PM9's matt finish to a satin finish.

I’ve never been too thrilled with the matt finish on my PM9 so I thought I redo it.
Here she is after a gentle low pressure blast of “fine” (100-170) glass beads.
Slide release was done as well.
So much nicer! Very similar to a satin Kimber in appearance.
Sorry for the bad cell phone photo. It looks much nicer in person.

I really like the look. I also like the grip rubber. May I ask where you got it?

It's hard to tell the difference in the pic but it does indeed look good!

Did you remove the sights when you blasted it?
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Yes, I installed Meprolights after blasting it. But, it would have been simple to mask off the sights and then bead blast the slide.

It's hard to see the detail using a cell phone with indoor lighting. I'll
take a few more pics tomorrow outside.

The guys at my LGS loved the difference and I agreed to do the owners CM9 this weekend.

Do you think that it would fit an MK? They don't make one specifically for the MK................................................ .

It may be a tight fit but yes I believe it would fit. The Hogue Handall Jr. works well on my CW9 as well. Those grip gloves and similar products are very flexible, making them almost universal.

That looks great! Nice job. I prefer the DLC finish and have the PM9, P9, and PM45 with that, but my P380 and P40 have the matte stainless finish. Your work definitely looks like an improvement.
