Buying Second Mag and Stock 6 RD Mag Pinches My Hand

I am buying a second Mag for the range. Thinking of 7 RD... I see two styles? What about after market?
I have had no misfires in many +600 of rounds. I know the extended mags are not recommended. I
really don't care 6 or 7 rounds, but if given a choice I think 7 RD with the plastic bottom would be better.....


The stock 6 RD Mag pinches my hand shooting at the range. Any fix for that?

I'm going to guess you have a CM9. You might try getting a set of the polymer magazine base plates and lightly sanding the top on a sheet of fine sandpaper on a flat surface until the mag will reliably lock up with the tiniest bit of gap.

I converted my P-sized mags to the steel base plates for max concealment, but had to add a 3/32"x 3/4" ID neoprene O-ring to stop pinching.





For spare carry and the range, I go with the 8-round extended grip mags for the P9 and the 7-round extended grip ones for the P40.

Yes Wynn, I have a CM9. Thanks that is just the kind of info I needed. Plastic bases.... so the 8 RD feeds fine... great. Nice Pics... that helps a lot. I have been out of the loop on my guns, not shooting, not reloading or keeping up.... I have a bunch of spare mags, 10 round up to 19 rounds for my G26. It is nice to just pop in a new mag....

I like lots of mags... 10 or so per pistol... with some overlap... 9mm Kahrs and my .45 Glocks... G30s and G21 SF. With the Glocks I can use my G21 13-rounders in the G30S. I only have one 30-round Kriss mag left since I sold the other 4... actually, the other 26 as a local gun show vendor, but it fits the Glocks, too.

I prefer the P-sized Kahrs and like the metal bases where available, for maximum concealability.

I had been thinking about a G27-Gen4, but had really been wanting a P45 DLC, but I got a good deal and bought a Glock 30S for a high-capacity concealed carry. It's a fat sucker, though. The guys on GlockTalk don't think it is, but I'm used to carrying the single-stack Kahrs... usually my P40 with 6+1 and a 7-round extended-grip reload, which gives me what my G23C holds internally, but a lot thinner.

Wynn, on line shop spree. Went with:
K820 7RD Mag $29 (Doha, should've got MK720 for my CM9, returned 820 for 720 )
Pearce Grip Extension 2Pk $12
Traction grip rubber enhancement $9
This will make it more comfortable on the range.
My Kahr is not a range gun, more for conceal carry.
Kahr CM9 will never be as comfortable, easy and accurate as my other guns.
With these accessories at least it won't be so unpleasant to practice with.
