  • Just ordered a new cm9 online.

For so long I've wanted a pm9 or a mk9 but my budget didn't really permit it. Plus my wife would kill me if she found out I spent almost $700 on a new gun. I talked her into letting me get a cm9 and due to the price, she gave me to okay.

So today after our department range day, I went to my LGS to price some cm9's. They had a brand new cm9 for $379, which wasn't they highest I've seen around but was no deal by any means. He said with taxes would be over $410. They also had a used one for $359, which I thought was a little high. I asked him about doing a FFL transfer and he said $25. I left empty handed and started calling around. All of the shops I called around to had none in stock and had to be ordered at over $410, not including tax. I went online to gunwatcher and purchased a cm9 for $322.00 off of grabagun. Thier shipping was only $5.99 and I had to pay no taxes, just FFL fees when it arrives.

All and all I'm happy and I feel like I got a decent deal. Now I just have to wait for it to show up. Has anyone had any experience with grabagun? Also should I purchase an extended mag? How reliable are they?

Personally I'd stick with the flush mags myself. Course it depends on your intended purpose.
I just like to keep them as compact as possible, especially if it's fulfilling a back up role.

I have to check, I thought Kahr had a LE program for officers and firearms instructors and stuff. I'm not sure how that's applied. If you have to go direct through Kahr or certain dealers or what.

I think some folks here have utilized it in the past, maybe they'll help us out.

Too late for this deal but it sounds like it was a pretty decent deal anyhow.
I've not personally bought from grabagun before but know many people who have. Quite reputable and should be no worries.

I'm really just wanting the exended mag for range use. I don't plan on carrying it in the gun, maybe as an extra back up mag.

I have half heartedly looked about Kahr doing an LE or blue label program with out much luck. I would like to know for future purchases though.

I've had no luck with extended mags or Pearce pinky extensions. Both have caused my CM9 to fail to lock open on the last round. Without them - 100%. You made a good deal. Read the stickies and give it a good break in and you will love it.

Would you recomend it for just plinking? That sucks that an extended mag is as reliable. It's not to big of a deal but it would still be nice if it worked.

This will be my third Kahr so I have the breaking in down. I'm just excited to get it in and start the process.

I use Pearce pinky extensions on my 6 round magazines in my PM9, and have never had a problem with them or the 7 round extended mags.

I love to shoot my cm9 and my cw9 every time I go to the range (mostly weekly), but it gets a little pricey after both of us put a bunch of mags through there. That's why I'm going to buy a 22. We will shoot fewer rounds of 9mm and THEN start plinking with the 22. Congrats on your purchase.

Many of us have no problems with the extended mags. Sounds like they are riskier but you needn't rule them out. I use 'em for backups in a BEARDOG pocket double mag holder.

For just plinking they will be just fine. Who knows they may work just fine for you all around. These guns are all a little different. Another thing I like about the original metal base plate is it makes the gun so easily concealable. Good luck!

I have used Grab a Gun on several occasions, they are stand up folks. Highly recommend.

                          I love grab a gun.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

Would putting metal followers in the extended magazine prevent the rounds from nosediving?

what would metal have over a polomer follower, as far as nosediving. .
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border
