  • Aiming with facrory sights ?

I have a cm9. Just wondering do you guys aim with the front sight flush with the rear sight. I'll be shooting like 21 feet. I think I read in one of my kahr manuals to aim that way. Thanks in advance.

Yes I aim with back and front level and the top of the sight in the middle of the target. I have a CW9 and it will hit center at 7 yards aiming that way.

          Equal Height; Equal Light.

In other words, the top of the front sight is level with the top of the rear sight. And, the front sight is centered in the notch of the rear sight, so there is equal "light" space on each side of the front sight.

Don't aim. Learn to point shoot. It's not a target pistol. Kahr pistols are for self-defense. Shoot for center mass hits not MOA.

Yes, sir. You're off to a good start. Understanding sight alignment is the first step in aiming a pistol.

Mine is not even close to lining up the tops.
It took me 800 rounds to get good with mine.
Center dot on front sight covers the impact point.
Line up the center of the dot with the angles of the rear sight. That makes the dot way off the stick. That dot the I stuff didn't work for mine

My new K9 is like that, too. My P380 was like that too, but after Kahr replaced the slide and barrel (4 broken strikers), it's even with the rear.

I put a Crimson Trace Laserguard on it. I will adjust the laser to point of impact. Then I'll get the iron sights to co witness the best I can. That, or shoot for the perp's left shoulder.
